    Another Enegren banger

Maple Baltic Porter *says LAGER on bottom of can. You learn something new everyday
9.2% that fires on alll damned cylinders

    Per Enegren:
"This rich Baltic-Style Porter has a complex malt profile with hints of toasted bread, caramel, and mild smokiness. Naturally carbonated with maple syrup and lagered on sugar-maple wood spirals, this beer will keep you warm during the cold winter months"

Well, a very sad day in San Diego beer news....My favorite lager making brewery is closing tasting room, 2 of 4 original founders are out of the picture, Operations handed over to some consultant firm that folks are trashing on IG and closing their Vista tasting room which is only 3 miles from my front door. I love their beers but the ultimate ending seems a strong possibility. Great staff as well. I'm sad for this place; Eppig Brewing:

The waterfront location is great. May have to visit before they close that, too. ShowPony is one of the better Barleywines I've had and their Schwarzbiers are top tier.

Faction Winter Pils. IPL brewed with Saaz, Saphir Blanc, and Mosaic.

Nice and crisp, despite weighing it at 6.8%, and has a really well managed flavor profile that lays a solid traditional pils base with a nice layer of diesel and berries over the top. Lovely example of new school, American, approach to a classic style that is substantially different than the traditional style but holds that clear lineage in place too

Toronado SF has an excellent pilsner on tap this week, rarely seen in this part of the world. It's called "Pivo Pils".

The Moonlight/Wondrous 4-grain lager collab “straw walkers” was pretty good. Recommended if you can find it in the wild.

Cans seem to be getting a little more distro lately. But not on a large scale.
It’s so crazy because the format and price point is identical to their 805, but it’s so much better.
