Here's another one from Radiant in Anaheim-- Next Level Unlock, and yet another New Zealand hopped beer! This one is very good, a PIlsner with an abundance of hops. Aroma of lime peel and lemon meringue pie, but funky at the same time. Flavor is just slightly bitter with a bright citrus note. Very fruity and lemony with a sharp finish.

Well, it's time to clear some things that have been in the cave a while. I'll take my chances with this bottle from 2018 and ya'll probably won't believe I've never had it but it's always been an elusive one when released.

It needs no introduction. I hardly need to say anything. Worthy of every bit of hype it gets.

Delightful from pour to finish. Look, smell, taste, feel are as good as it gets. The maple has faded a bit and mostly shows late in the taste. No alcohol burn but damn pleasant sensation of warmth going on. Split with the missus, but she's ignoring it a bit....

This just jumped to the top of my wants list. I love Schlenkerla’s beers, the Urbock the most of all from the ones I’ve had.

Must seek this one out! Thanks for the review.

Had to ask my friend who brought this, it was Eel River Brewery and the name is Raven’s Eye. I think he was pulling my leg when he said Raven’s Beak!
    Cheers!

    Luppolo - Serie Selvatica

16oz can served in a pair of WABL glasses. No date that I can find. Bought it at the brewery a few months ago.

Pours a slightly hazy yellow. Small head. Smell is nice, super apricot and peach.

Taste is kettle sour and peaches and nectarines.

Mouthfeel is very dry, pretty light. Overall, it's not bad.

So...one other special thing about this beer...this marks the first time my inventory has dropped below 75 since whenever it rose above 75, which definitely was more than three years ago. I'm making progress!

American Solera Terpy Grigio DIPA with Pinot Gris Juice, 8.0% ABV; 4.31 overall

Pours a very hazed gold with 2 fingers of cream-colored head. Good head retention & bice lacing

S: Breadyness, green melon, tangerine & nectarine once warm

T: Follows the nose, also some nectarine & dryness, plus some mustiness from the grapes up front. Sweet white grapes, pomelo, dryness & green melon as this beer warms up. Finishes dry with pink grapefruit, must & white grape juice

MF: Medium body, fairly firm carbonation, nice balance

Very easy to drink, ABV is well hidden, usually not a fan of IPAs with grape components, this works well

Here's one helluva complex KBS variant.

    12 ounce bottle packaged 07/10/23.

Moderate pour yields a one inch tan head over a black body with sticky lacing.

Nose of dark roasted malt, dark fruit, chocolate, with slight vanilla, slight coffee, and a bit of bourbon. As it warms, the blueberry comes front and center with a tad caramel.

Taste mirrors nose closely with a hint of sour blueberry on the tongue. Complex with a lot of sweetness going on. Finish is semi sweet and slightly bitter with dark chocolate; vanilla, and dark fruit and a bit of bourbon and oak.

Mouthfeel is good with near medium carbonation.

Overall, don't hurry with this one, as it needs to open up to reveal multiple layers of flavor. Definitely worth picking some up.
    Cheers!

Thanks @2beerdogs for this Almanac Beer Co. Bunny Hill IPA, 6.15% ABV; 3.47 overall

Pours a mostly bright & effervescent gold with some chill hazing & a pinky of beige head. Okay retention & lacing

S: Peaches & strawberries, green melons

T: Green melon, limes, grapefruit & dryness up front. White grapes, some pomelo, dryness & some nectarine. Finishes dry with white grape & nectarine

MF: Medium body, lively carbonation, some acidity to this, pretty good balance, body lightens up as this warms, okay balance

Good drinkability, but nothing special here
