There's a place across the river from me in Davenport, IA. Ruby's Beers, Brats, and Bikes. Located near the bike path by the Mississippi River, they have 32 beers on tap, with about 3/4 of those taps featuring beers brewed in the state of Iowa. They specialize in brats, but have other food items. What makes them unique is they also sell bycicles, plus service and sell parts for bicycles. Hence the name.

In Ohio there is a hotel that’s also a brewery. I think some rooms have windows that view the brewery. Haven't been there just read about it back when it was going to open.

First place around here that came to mind is the Pine Box, which used to be a funeral home and chapel and still has a lot of the original decor, stained-glass windows etc.—some interesting facts on their website (scroll down). I believe Fremont Brewing first started brewing the Rusty Nail as some kind of collaboration with them, but I could be making that up.

Here's a few pics of Ruby's. Outdoor space, with the Government Bridge in the background that leads to the Rock Island Arsenal.

NewSylum Brewing out of Newtown CT is located inside an old psychiatric hospital that was operating from the 1930s to the 1990s. It’s quite the interesting place. I’ve only been once and wasn’t super impressed but I’d stop in again if I was in the area

    But you're not of course.

Fremont brewing originally made a collaborative beer with Pine Box called the First Nail. The label had a picture of a pine box coffin on it. Fremont brewing made a limited amount of a special barrel aged version of that beer that they called... wait for it... Rusty Nail.

According to Fremont beerchives, they're still making numerical nails, with the most recent the 2022 10th Nail. It still has a picture of the pine box featured prominently on the label.

I have lots of favorite beer bars in NE - Novare Res in Portland ME, 3 Penny in Montpelier, Black Back in Waterbury - Armsby in Worcester - but the Nook in Huntsville Al was the first place that came to mind when I saw this thread. Big tap and bottle list. Always have JW Lees Harvest Ale …. on tap - which automatically puts them in my all time top five.

I'm in the Quad Cities every summer. I need to check this place out. Speaking of beer and bikes Crawford in Bettendorf is a taproom next to a bicycle shop in a... sort of similar scenario (the two facilities occupy half of the same building).

Ruby's shares the same building as Lopiez Pizza. Lopiez is ran by the Lopez Brothers, who have a cousin named Colby Lopez, better known in the wrestling world as Seth Rollins.

Sounds a lot like El Bait Shop in Des Moines. They claim the largest craft beer selection west of the Mississippi, with 250+ beers on tap. I stopped in there in August, but I forgot to check whether they actually sold bait.
That wouldn't be BrewDog in Canal Winchester, would it?

I've been there three times. Here's a link to my reviews for the first two visits. https://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/47860/?view=ratings

Since those two visits the hotel has been constructed and that created my third visit last spring. I didn't write another review for that visit. It's interesting to go there and stay a night or two. You get a coupon during check-in for a complimentary beer, plus another beer-and-cookies event in the evening. Then there are more beers in your room in the honor bar, plus a cooler that holds 8-10 beers is built into the bathroom wall next to the shower so that you can enjoy a shower beer as part of your visit. It's a place that every beer lover should experience.

The spotty dog in Hudson NY. Bookstore with a small bar. I was there pre covid and it was a cool place to grab a few beers and check out the books. The tap list was nice and had a lot of local beers, was the first time I ever saw a cider with hops.

Barcade in Philly, never been and not even sure it’s still around. As the name implies, a bar and arcade in one.

    Enjoy

Sergio World Beer in Louisville, KY.

I've never seen anything like it. Dozens of upright fridges where each country has a fridge or fridges of its own. There's no way that it's all legally imported. It's like a beer museum (and plenty of the content has little enjoyment value outside the museum model!).

Bonus, if the owner (the eponymous Sergio) is there you can be treated to some truly astonishing global bet culture stories from a guy that seems like the Forest Gump of craft beer.

It's a classic beer weirdo bar
