...the models vary...but they basically are their ThermaPen Classic, ThermoPop, DASH, and the Fun-Size...I also have a variety of probes I use with my two cooking alarm devices from them (I use those for smoking in my smoker and cooking roasts and whole birds and such in the oven...

...and if a beer is 'too cold', if it's one I've had before, I just go ahead and drink it...it it's something new and that I'm reviewing, I may wait for it to warm up a bit...

I will always ride with @Resistance88. The difference is I can place my beers in the frozen tundra.

This. While it might take a while there is a definite change in temperature, especially when combined with the heat transfer of the ambient air

I restrain myself 98% of the time. But when someone uses a completely incorrect word, and not just an inadvertent misspelling or typo (and thus indicates that they they actually don’t understand what they are saying—e.g., principle/principal), I think a direct intervention is in order.

Well, I don't think misspelling necessarily means they don't know what they're saying (piqued/peaked -- peeked?), but I'm mostly with you.

I should have said it indicates they don’t understand the meaning of the words they are using. We all understand what @MutuelsMark meant by “My interest is peaked”—but by using that word it can be assumed that he meant he had reached “peak interest,” which is not the actual meaning of the phrase “interest is piqued.” That’s why, from a linguistics perspective, I think it’s worth calling out that type of error.

And it’s important note I would never do this to try to embarrass another BA—only to try to help educate. Someone can go through their entire life using the wrong word or phrase without even realizing it (in the scheme of things this doesn’t really matter much), but they might alter their practice if only someone lets them know they have been making an innocent mistake. It’s a lazy Sunday afternoon and I happen to have the time to try to help.

I always start with beers cold, but I usually take 1-3 hours to drink strong dark beers, enjoying the full range of temperatures.

I’ve returned to this thread a dozen times since it first went live because I keep thinking it’s a reference to Star Wars. The force will be with you, always.

Seriously, folks, just pour your beer and have some patience! (Unless you’re drinking mulled ale or have one of those hot poker deals.)

I put beer in the fridge. I take them out and open them when I drink them. If I do not chug the beer it will warm as I drink it. After being in the glass 10 minutes it’s just fine, even straight out of the fridge it’s fine.

I also will use the freezer to cook beer down quicker.

    Enjoy

We’re already way off topic here or I’d give you a lesson on the colloquialism.
