    I am humbled by the mention. So true, there are many BA's I have enjoyed chatting with, reading their musings, and even drinking with on a few lucky occasions.

    Thanks. And, back at you.

    Conversely, I’d like to nominate Canadian customs officials for the Exceptional Beer Devils thread, when that gets going….

    I think I’ve just tried to ship you “metal and glass kitchen containers” one too many times.

    To have to mention individuals is tough, as so very much good natured wisdom and generosity has passed, and so very many have had positive influences on what truly has been a beer journey. But if I had to pick one whose name hasn't been mentioned, I have it.

    Funny, too, for without the contribution he made some of the most saintly of the here-mentioned saints in this thread might never have "met" in a BIF that carries a name he invented. Of course I mean our own @malty , who started the best, most unique, longest running, and most true to BA values thread that so positively influenced so many of us, New Beer Sunday.

    Here's to Saint @malty Cheers!

    @jesskidden
    @patto1ro
    I started learning about beer around 1992 when someone gave me one of Michael Jackson’s books, a lot of what I learned since then was far from factual, but in the last 12 months I’ve learned more from Ron Pattinson’s blog “Shut Up About Barclay Perkins” than I did in the previous 30 years.
    Jess Kidden has done the same with American brewing history on this website and his own blog.

    It’s really a shame that so much misinformation gets endlessly regurgitated in the beer “press” , but I’m thankful that at least a couple of guys are righting those wrongs.

    I'm not sure I could list them all...

    @Rub_This_BBQ, for sending me his homebrew and initiating me into this totally sane "hobby" of mailing beer...I mean artisanal vinegar and/or glassware...to internet strangers.

    @2beerdogs for talking me into joining my first BIF.

    @MacMalt for being the first person to crush my porch in a BIF.

    @FBarber, @WunderLlama, @jonphisher for many ninja and non-ninja boxes in both directions, as well as fantastic in-person experiences

    @BBThunderbolt, for being a pillar of the community, and also taking me around Bellingham for beer and pierogi.

    @Coronaeus for incredible generosity, including unnecessary but wholeheartedly appreciated replacement of bottles shattered-in-shipping and being incredibly gracious about an utterly failed trade where Canadian customs received his side of the bargain.

    And many others, from whom I beg forgiveness for omission.

    But when they seize the shipment they
    A)send the nicest letter (so stereotypical),
    B) Give detailed inventory of said contraband,
    and most amazingly...
    C) personally highlight the portions of the letter explaining the process of appealing the siezure of OBVIOUSLY verboten cargo.

    Oh Canada.
