Not being from Michigan it's certainly possible but did I miss the released of BA Expo? Next to Black Note, definitely one of my favourite beers from them.

I don't recall a release of BA Expo, but a comment in last year's thread sounds like Bell's 35th Anniversary beer might have been it.

I think BA Expo came and went on All Stouts Day. They’ve announced Roll Out the Barrel for Jan. 21–my guess is there will be some nice treats available to-go.

That's the same beer PapaGoose is talking about. All stouts day fell on Black Friday, and they released BA Expo 35th Anni Reserve. Great beer if you can get some from someone (or shows up on draft).

Thanks for the information. Again being out of state, did they not distribute it? Just wondering because when I was in GR in December 2022 I loaded up on it at Horrock's and when I was there this past December I saw no hint of it. Hopefully one of my MI connections can dig me up a bottle.

    Cheers!

BBA 35th Anniversary Expedition Stout was a limited General Store release on BF. This a different beer than BBA Expedition Stout, the latter which has been distributed in the past. BBA Expedition Stout was not released by Bell's this past year. Black Note did see some distribution in 2023, however.

The only thing stopping me from that release is bad weather. And I have to make sure I get there early. Got to watch the Lions win their playoff game at 3:00pm.

Interesting. Not sure coffee will be the best adjunct for that one but sign me up

Agreed. If there is any stout which should be unadulterated imo (apart from barrel aging perhaps), it's Expo. However, that said, would love to try it.

Well damn...will be out of state and going to miss this year. Looks like BBA 35th is on the tap list.

Bells sold BBA 35 in bottles on Black Friday. I couldn't get there that day so I got there at 11:30am the following day. I just missed purchasing the last sixers by a few minutes.

Fortunately, there was one lone bottle in the cooler so I took it home with me. That beer was exceptional. I'm glad I got the one bottle but I really wish I could have got more.

I haven't heard a peep about this. They only put the BBA Coffee Expedition bottles at the General Store on social media two days ago.

If I had to guess, I would say it won't be distributed. They didn't distribute any of their BBA 35 Expedition that they sold at the store on Black Friday. That's why I really want to get those coffee bottles tomorrow.

They mentioned on FB only available at the General Store (no limits btw). No distro.

    *sad noises

BA Coffee Expo sounds like it could be pretty good but BA 35th sounds absolutely killer. Like seriously GOAT stout potential. Too bad that one never made it out into the wild for more people to try. The regular 35th Expo bottles get a little more smoothed out without losing any nuance each year. Love that friggen beer!

Happy Roll Out The Barrel/Lions Victory Day folks!

Unfortunately for me, coffee stouts land in that sweet spot of things I love but can not combine. Does the General Store typically have other treats and rarities out for ROTB, or just the spotlight feature release?

Sometimes there are surprises in the cooler. Today they are pouring some BA batch 6k.
