I don't know if I prefer to drink alone, but it usually works out that way.
When I do drink with others, I usually end up drinking more...usually.

I’m the same way about having beer at home. I’m usually around my wife and or kids but my wife isn’t a huge fan of the taste of most alcoholic drinks so she usually only had 2 or 3 beers a month.

The only restaurant I will ever get beer from any more is called Fest Biergarten. It’s at the front of my neighborhood and has a good mix of German beer and local flair. It’s a good environment and it’s reasonably priced. Outside of that I just don’t like paying 8-10 bucks for a single beer when I can go to a store and pay 10-12 dollars for a six pack.

I dont like being around large groups of drunk people anyway because of all the aggressive drunk idiots I’ve had to fight at my job

 

Have you ever discovered any beer trade boxes?

 

No. Just brewery box orders.

 

Depends on my mood. Some days are better enjoying a beer in a group socializing. Other times I just want peace and quiet while enjoying a delicious offering. Probably a 60/40 percent split for me.

 

At this point in my life, hanging out and having a beer or two with others is one of the great joys. That said, I love sitting on the deck by myself and just savoring a good beer!

 

So we're packing/quieting adequately!

Never had an issue with a driver, but have had an issue with a nosy counter clerk...

 

My drinking & brewing buddy lives out of state now, so "I drink alone, yeah, all by myself".... Dah de de da de.

My wife is usually partaking in mixed drinks with me, but she is not a beer fan.
We'll go brewery hopping together along with my son, but she'll limit herself to a wheat if they have one and my son is usually the resinated (cough, cough) driver.

 

I'm firmly in the George Thorogood camp on this one. I'll occasionally go out for drinks with a few of my former coworkers, but I'm much more likely to go by myself for lunch and a flight or a wee dram at a whiskey bar. At home, an occasional beer or a cocktail will usually suffice.

On Wine Club nights, all bets are off.

I prefer to review alone. Otherwise I prefer to drink with friends.

 

Sadly, I too have had incidents over time. Hopefully age and wisdom have lessened these experiences on my end over time. Hard to walk in somewhere sober and things are out of control and enjoy settling in unless your gearing up quick or know and love the crowd beforehand.

No offense intended, or intention to say I haven’t been an offender over the years.

I like both, but I usually drink alone because I'm alone more often than I am not. I enjoy beer irrespective of whether or not I'm alone.

Ten years ago, I enjoyed drinking alone. I truly did. That said, I’d also be lying if I said that the idea of wanting someone wasn’t there. So now that I’m married and a dad, I’m happy where I’m at, but at times I still cherish some of my moments as if I were still alone. Does that make sense?

 

I prefer drinking with friends, but I avoid bars that serve only crap beer.
