Brewery with now four locations in the greater Philadelphia area. They specialize in traditional German and Czech style lagers (the Human side), and then they also do various hazy IPAs, kettle sours, etc. as well to please that crowd (the Robot side).

I honestly stopped trusting HC for a long time, nevertheless Human Robot is Top Notch, not just on the East Coast, but across the US

I’m crazy enough to drive to Philly every month, just for the pleasure of enjoying their beers on draft

I don't have any prior experience with Hop Culture, but Human Robot linked this in their social media, that's how I saw it.

I don't know where you're at in Maryland, but I enjoyed the six pack of Cushwa's Czech Dark Lager that I picked up last year when driving through. Especially at $10 a sixer

Had the day off from work so I figured I’d make the jaunt from Long Island to Philly. My first HR Tmavy from the tank was special. The Irish stout was a pleasant surprise. Poe’s sandwiches always delivers. Decided I’d bring home a couple of cans since I made the journey.

Yes, they've brewed Dress Code before, and I agree it's pretty tasty.

    ....and nice haul!

Beautiful. I'm showing my wife this picture next time she gives me a funny look after a beer run.

I know it’s not what they’re known for but how is their IPA game? I see they have a couple on tap and the untappd scores are good.

Hit or miss. Some are excellent; some mid; and not a ton of consistency from year-to-year even with the same IPA, in my experience.

Their lagers are world class and what I generally opt for.

Brought home a 4pack of Ritual Herbs (100% German Pils malt and Spalt hops) the other night, drinking the first can right now with lunch and I am really digging this one.

Pilsner malt aroma with a pleasant touch of spicy floral hops. Similar taste, nice crisp dry slightly bitter finish. body is thinner but has a nice soft finish to the mouthfeel. Overall very drinkable and balanced. Excellent beer in my opinion

The HR insta has a history of milktubes for those (like @JackHorzempa and @jesskidden ?) who may be into that stuff…

“June 15th 2021, the very first #milktube is poured. On this day we had our very first #milktube customer, @CarsonWK. We forced him to do it at 10am, so not really a customer, but you get the point.

“The #milktube was conceived the prior night after spending the weekend drinking with @ratmagnet. After a tew too many 20oz Mliko pours, we thought, hey, would this be better in 10oz form? That Monday we decided to do a .3L stange of foam, call it a #milktube, and give discounts on TUBESDAY. We are happy it caught on. Spread the #milktube love! Often imitated, never duplicated.”

When they listed Troon as one of the best taprooms in NJ, that's when they lost validity in my mind.

As for Human Robot, last year my wife took me to on a Philadelphia brewery tour and the first stop was Human Robot and I was so happy. Fast forward to Valentine's Day, my gift was a Czech Beer Dinner pairing at the Jenkintown brewery. I was in absolute heaven. Especially since my wife does not enjoy beer so I was I had two of her beers as well.

The four beers clockwise from top left: Czech 10° (Pale Lager), Crown Lands (#Schenkbier), Polotmavy 12° (Amber Lager), and finally Tmavy 13° (Dark Lager). All were world-class and outstanding. [IMG]
