    Hey all, it's WBAYDN 4114!

4114 is a palindrome, and who doesn't love a good palindrome? I mean, we all know it would be un-Australian not to.

Speaking of which, there's a place in Australia called Glenelg, which is as good a palindrome as any, and I'm fairly certain there'll be at least one bronzed Aussie drinking a beer there right now. Whoever you are, this WBAYDN's for you, cobber!

The beer for me is Coedo Kyara, the last of the beers that I muled back from my time overseas last year. Its melon and honey fruitiness held up well over the intervening three months in my fridge, but the malt base turned all burnt toast on me, which I wasn't expecting. Still, it was enjoyable on this most palindrome of days, a day on which I pledge to step not on pets (see what I did there?).

    Cheers

Good day BAs! Thanks @AzfromOz for starting todays thread - it's too foggy outside (and brainside) to give a reasonable response to your palindrome. But I do like your pics with greenery, something we won't see here for another month or three.

Final impression and summation: 4.25 Although a bit sweet for my taste, the cocoa offsets nicely the bourbon sourness. Unfortunately, no vanillin or tannin from the barrels comes through, just the bourbon flavors. Cinnamon is detectable but not overwhelming. The downwind vapor hazard later should be brutal - gots lactose but not lactase! Thanks Ryan!

Mind if I join you folks at the virtual bar?
I'm drinking a Field Beer from Oxbow Brewing Co. I drank a lot of their beer when I lived in Maine, not so much since I moved to New Mexico.

< I will Mail Liam an ale if I don't drink it first! > ta dah!
Amigos! Great to be here on my 3 year anniversary and my beer world is pretty much an unbroken line now because of Beer Advocate. I've discovered many great things here in 3 yrs and remarkable beer industry things/events are happening and evolving right now. It is enjoyable to rack up some points and have long & short-term beer goals plus I get a "job well done" vibe when trying/rating/reviewing a new-to-me beer. I look frwd to the future and it's starting...right now  Here's a little thing I jotted down for us all. I hope you enjoy.

    <<Beer Advocate 3 year Anniversary Poem>>

    Twas an Advocate’s evening

    And folks were about.

There was beer in the fridge about to fall out!

    Barrel-aged, Porters, Ales and Rye,

But one beer was different and was totally dry.

It drank like an Ale or a Gose at best.

None of its foam ended up on my vest.

The beer had a voice that I could discern

of caramelized malts and zero hop burn.

But wait! Where is the yeast?

Without this oulde potion there can be no beast.

The gem we all seek must be teaming with yeast!

Munching that sugar and burpin’ out suds,

maybe some drinkers will take off their duds?!

The flavor was bold and then it was dry.

My tongue became sandy and I felt kinda high.

The nuance of flavors a brewer can gauge

through math, science, and a napkin for a page.

This brew that was different and drier than the rest

was simply a Saison that someone had left.

I love an old party with people I know.

In homes and hotels where big beers can flow.

So, with this lil’ note my Beer Advocates

    I dedicate this brew!

You're as good as it gets!

    Cheers! BAs LesDeWitt4beer 2024

After just drinking Heineken 0.0 since the 1st this is tasting pretty good. Definitely more flavor there, some bitterness. I'd buy this again.

    Cheers yall!
