Rioter's Reserve has already kicked. I assume they held some back for tomorrow but that's just a guess based on past events.

    Component 3 > Component 1 >>>>>> Component 2.

Component 3 is a classic super aged/double barreled Deth's Tar, with all that implies. If you're a FUPA God, you'll love this.

Component 1 is a pale barleywine kinda vibe, with cream soda, oak & faint red berry notes. I liked this way more than I expected.

Component 3 is a punishing blend of black licorice, wood & candle wax. I'm sure it works as ballast in the final On & On blend, but on its own it's a tough swath to mow.

Oh and Mindshaft Gap is on.

Component 1 was not good. Component 2 was my favorite of the day. Component 3 was good but something harsh I couldn't quite tell. VSOR was not my type at all. Gave my cans away!

If you liked Component 2 but thought Component 3 was harsh, I think one of us got mislabeled beers. I found the exact opposite to be true.

Or maybe my #trashpalate is acting up again...

Haha maybe the booze got to me!

I was underwhelmed on the release though. But that is having high standards from everything Rev has done in the past. Onward we go!

Total agree on the Component rating, 2 is just too dry or something. Drinkable but eh. Making my own blend, I put mainly 1 and 3 and it was spot on.

Also RR 2024 is still on tap this afternoon, no Half Acre/DB Catch Hell in sight and Cognac On and On is on tap from the library!!! I see other taps listed behind the bar after Cognac taps on paper but my eyes aren’t good lol.

I agree, I prefer 3>1>2. Haven’t done any of my own blending which is perhaps a missed opportunity.

Cognac On & On is a treat but I prefer Part 3.

Rioter’s Reserve is basically the the DBVSOD I wished for.

Taproom is full and I've been relegated to being only the second tallest person here. I tried Component 3 on you all's recommendation and quite enjoy it, but I think I actually prefer the cognac On and On. That's probably all that I'll have with the drive back to Indiana ahead of me, so I'm looking forward to popping a few cans later in the weekend.

I was there yesterday around 5:45 PM, and it was on draft. I got a pour. I thought it was solid. Not super complex but had good barrel sweetness and a thicker feel. I expected it to be more boozy but was pleasantly surprised it wasn't.

Switching topics, and maybe others have said this: VSOR Select... I'm glad I bought another 4 pack. Excellent from the first sip.

Wait, so nobody blended the Components and just had them all solo? I think the brewers were hoping you'd blend your own Components to create a beer that's perfect for you. They're interesting to drink on their own just to see how these BA beers are made, but ultimately each of these beers has a bigger purpose to be part of a blend and compliment each other. Idk if everyone understood the assignment

At $8 a pop? That's one expensive assignment and a pricey pint

hand up on this one. I blended the three with some buddies. Not sure how else you’d take down component number two unless it was with something to cut that dryness.

I did at the end. But I wanted to taste them all seperately, too.

My blend < Revolution's blend. Unsurprisingly.
