Nice, I assumed with the label they teased that it was some sort of bock. Thanks for sharing the article with confirmation. Hopefully some shows up soon, I will be happy to give this one a try.

Oh and for those keeping score, how about this line...

    It replaced an IPA!!!!

Yep, was quite a shocker. But good move for sure. Hopefully will be a nice drinker for the springtime weather.

Love that it replace an IPA. Is this different from Cultivator?

I hope this is a sign that the tide has finally turned and brewers will continue to bring back lower-hopped options as core and seasonal offerings.

If Troegs put this up for a vote, I would have voted for Cultivator since that beer was very good/excellent.

    Cheers!

Looking forward to this, always good to see lager replace IPA.

    El Dorado though, hmm…

Anyone see this out in the wild yet? According to their beer finder, a few places have this in State College and near Selinsgrove.

Troegs has a tap takeover at an event near me Saturday and Little ‘Nator is in the lineup. I’m excited to give it a go. Scranton area.

Having one now, its excellent. Literally what you would imagine a lighter troegonator to be. Clarity is world class, smells malty and potent, drinks with the toastiness of troegonator with much less sweetness and a slight floral touch, feel is not light but not dense and chewy like trogonator.

Although much darker, the closest beer I'd liken it to is Boston lager. Toasty and malty with a floral touch.

Huh, interesting comparison. BL is driven by caramel malts to my palate (regarding the malt profile specifically). I dig Boston Lager but it’s not bock-like to me.

Thanks for the tasting notes, I’m intrigued.

Just had my first bottle and it’s remarkable how much this tastes like Troegenator. The abv is almost shocking to me, I thought it was going to feel lighter than it does. Delicious beer, and a serious upgrade over Hop Horizon.
