looks like it's mostly new names. Clever. Enhance the fomo for those who thought they already knew what they wanted

I had noticed this before and swear it was some recent cans offerings that were tagged new but had been repeats in the past. There’s a slightly bigger NEW label it seems for new named ones. Who knows

I’m fairly certain it’s for a beers premier batch. Juice Machine was released a few days ago and doesn’t have “new”.

They brew too many beers. There, I said it.

Agree. And I don’t really understand why they do it. Seems inefficient and there’s just no reason to offer that much variety all at once.

Not even "because they can"? They know there's a core part of their customer base that wants to try everything so they're playing to that FOMO. Far as I can tell, nothing hangs out long enough to get pulled for being old. Make an ever so slight variation to a recipe and you have a new beer. If a beer has 3 hop varieties, that's like 9 different labels by just rearranging the dosage of each. They can also brew a giant batch of base beer and then divide it into smaller batches, each with it's own dry hop bill. So, with one ferment, they can potentially release a base, a very, a stutter, and a vvvvery stutter of the same beer family at almost the same time. Their scale offers near infinite flexibility.

Their unparalleled success and the fact they sell ALL that beer out suggests they have an incredible handle on efficiency and sales.

I should have prefaced it by saying, in my opinion. They absolutely know their brand, and market, and how to make immense profits off of the pairing.

I don’t often buy their new beers, because I think a lot of the core + offerings are generally better (imo)

I love Tree House and I’m not trying to be negative or bash them. I’m just saying from a practical perspective it seems… odd. Operationally it would obviously be easier and less expensive to brew fewer beers. And from a customer standpoint the offerings are a bit overwhelming. This isn’t a complaint. It’s more of an observation.

Agreed with sticking to the cores, but it’s fun to try the weird new stuff on draft.

FWIW today Fox Farm’s email update shows about 30 cans and bottles. Pretty good bump up for them in terms of offerings, and I need that new nitro imperial coffee stout.

I’d much rather a healthy choice of options to chose from as opposed to contract brewed beer anywhere. I’m ok with the innovation and given the amount work Nate and crew have put into yeast, hops, travel, etc and have articulated it to us. They fng earned it

They really don’t do the ‘make a small adjustment and it’s a new beer’. They do more of what you said with the hopping schedules but they have a pretty distinct roster of very different IPA recipes. The only reason I could see one say ‘they all taste the same’ is the yeast profile and they are playing around with that more lately.

I wonder how 1% investor feels about paying for a two day trip to NYC for the crew?

true, not so much any more, but the Alter Ego family was the result of the hop tweaking I alluded to which resulted in new beers. I think all the new Juice Machine varieties are the result of this as well. Change the dominant hop and voila! New Beer

As a parent myself, if you think it’s correct and not disgusting to change a child on a bench seat in the main hall where people eat and are served pizza. You are a pile of shit, pun intended.

That’s what bathrooms are for. Bench next to the pizza bar behind the tall tables. Yeah, you at 2:55.

Pumped for big bear coffee based on a recommendation above

Is there anyway to know how fresh cans are/aren’t from Woodstock? Noticed they don’t date stamp any of the cans there.

Checked their twitter and see no mention of when Green was released at the Woodstock location but it’s on the website currently to go.

Interesting. Your best bet may be to just look back at the IG and find the releases. Those are usually close to can date. Otherwise try even just emailing their customer service. They are extremely responsive and helpful for all kinds of things. They held onto my Yeti I had accidentally left and made sure I got it next trip. Also grabbed a bunch of info from us when we had a spoiled canned latte. I gotta give them credit for helping customers out.

But they have been testing the waters with obfuscating canning dates or leaving them off altogether.
