I don't like fish, so, no.

Plus, Stone still makes beer? Who knew?

As far as Del Taco being better than Taco Bell, I'm not so sure about that. I'd call that a lateral move at best, unless you're factoring those useless cinnamon twists. Luckily, there's a passable taco joint every few miles in CO. and there's Wahoo's if I'm craving fish.

Yeah, there’s like 4-5 different authentic Mexican restaurants within 10 minutes of my house (plus Taco Bell). It just seems like Del Taco is fresher than Taco Bell. They cook the meat up and give it to you steaming hot. Taco Bell’s burrito fill is squeezed from a tube. Also, Del Taco has never given me indigestion, even with all the onions :grinning:
We got some Long John Silver’s around here that I’m pretty sure could provide better fish than any Del Taco.

If someone can discern and identify the beer used in the batter give them the Jedi cicerone title because I can’t ever taste beer in deep fried beer batter. It’s only there to make the batter light and airy…

But club soda battered just doesn't carry the same cachet.

I've never been to Del Taco, since there doesn't appear to be one within 200 miles of here. That said, I'd try these tacos. I don't really see much of a downside.

Proper fish taco batter has so much going on between the yellow mustard and dry seasonings, you're not going to notice the beer. As @HouseofWortship said, beer would only be added to lighten the batter.

Bold emphasis mine. Maybe the salt and lime brought from the beer isn't perfectly balanced?

You know, if someone offered it to me, I would try just about any kind of meat/fish :sunglasses: There are certain exceptions however. No domesticated dog or cat, human, cockroach, etc
