Central Waters Brewing Twenty Six Variant. An imperial stout aged in bourbon barrels, with raspberries and vanilla. This beer is the mayor of Pastry Stout City.

 

Took a second day off this week which if you know me it’s very unusual. You ever feel guilty taking time off of work? Your boss and co workers are not friends at the end of the day and besides that My brain needs it. Over worked and under paid. This beer and an egg sandwich on a late breakfast.

Having a Night Shift Garden Party Pilsner - a new offering from them. Pretty tasty, although not as crisp as I would prefer. Has a lovely, bready note to it, but the carbonation is on the low side. Finishes slightly sweet. Overall a decent pilsner, but not a great one.

Imagine waking up on Christmas morning, and seeing evidence that someone climbed down your chimney and filled up your stocking with incredible beers, yet the milk and cookies were not touched, but your Viagra and whiskey supply is gone. That is what happens to me when @azuelke makes his annual holiday BeerAdvocate Bad Santa appearance at my house.

 

Loaded up on some Czech Dark Lager and English Dark Mild before leaving Good Word. Looking forward to that German Pils being ready. In the meanwhile, might as well enjoy my last Halfway Crooks German Pils. BTW, for the IPA and Pale Ale lovers out there, Good Word and Halfway Crooks both have solid beers in those styles.

The nose is better than the flavor. Brother thelonious is the opposite. Drinking this one slower, which is a good thing.
