    Happy New Year!

Starting this year off right with my last 2021 Arcane Rituals. It's drinking incredible right now and yet I think you could still sit on it for some time if you wanted. Smooth toffee raisin up front with a slightly dry finish that tastes a bit like roast and tobacco on the back end.

Maybe this year we'll get Hypermash Hydra b2 finally. Cheers everyone!

It's been vaguely mentioned in a insta comment that it will "potentially return sometime soon" that's the extent of what's been mentioned thus far.

I wonder if the expansion is still planned? Their ordering process is a headache when the tasting room is busy

They did a pretty significant expansion to their outdoor seating area a few years ago. As far as expanding the inside of the taproom, I would bet that ship has sailed for now due to the state that craft beer is in at the moment. It would not be fiscally responsible to undergo something like that at this time.

I think they are smart to keep it the same. They expended the outdoor area and are always busy. Just keep it the way it is and don’t get too big

Had friends over last night and opened a couple bottles:

    2020 Scatter Signal, 2017 JtR, and 2022 PCC/Cryopreservation

Winner for me was Scatter Signal, it tasted like it hadn't aged a day, so much mocha/marshmallow goodness.

2017 JtR was also surprising in that it tasted like it still had so much raspberry in it, the tart of it in particular stood out.

All 4 are drinking great right now

Got to try the Emo Weekend beers+JtR yesterday.

Mspace Coding course: Watermelon lemonade seltzer was really tasty, definitely would love to have a 4 pack of that if it were 30 degrees warmer outside.

The Taste of Ink (16% black seltzer) was...a lot. I didn't finish the taster but the execution was spot on. Black currant was powerful on that one as it sat more.

ISWSFBLAAIGWTSSSBNAM: The Acai smoothie beer was fine, not a huge fan of acai in general but if you like granola/chocolate this beer is for you.

Jam the Radar '24: Balanced. chocolately roast up front that turned to sweet, slightly tart raspberries. I think it's one of the best versions of JtR I've had.

MakeJamSure: I'd buy this if they bottled it, it was Oops All Berries of Jam the Radar and it was pretty good on its own. Thought the blackberry/blueberry came out the most but that was a pretty good spin-off of JtR.

The FO tasting as a day 7 prize seems pretty nice.

Very excited they brought it back, I will be attempting all 7 days myself as that FO tasting seems pretty great.

Speaking of, I opened a 2019 FO tonight. The barrel sticks out the most for me, there's some vanilla-berry on the aftertaste and some marshmallow on the front but this is pretty barrel-forward at this point. Still kind of thicc so its got that going for it. If thats your jam then would suggest popping it any time now.

Anyone figure out the solution process for the puzzles in the mission manual?

It's happening now. You can check out https://bottlelogic.com/weekoflogic2024 for more info.
Same general gist as prior years' WoL, except its all inside the tasting room(s) and front patio instead of in parking lot. You get a manual and prizes for going 3, 5, and 7 days. Lots of past beers, experimental beers, and WoL exclusives. No kids inside, but you can stop off and grab to go beers/merch in the alley if you have them with you or can't stay and drink, which counts towards the daily prizes.

If you're referring to the coded beer names, you have to wait until day three (or whenever you personally get the Day 3 prize) to get the bottle opener. Use the bottle opener and the inside front/back covers to translate the beer names. You can then order those beers starting on Day 3 (when they're tapped) using the cracked names.

You don't HAVE to use the opener to translate them. There is a way to solve it without that tool.

Been going to WoL since the first one and I’m always surprised at how they improve things year after year. This year’s no different, everything has been pretty smooth and chill — from getting into the brewery to getting pours. Even the parking situation hasn’t been bad.

It’s a bummer the fire department (?) axed their use of the warehouse space for whatever reason. Props to the BL crew for being able to pivot, though.

It was either the fire department or maybe their liquor license did cover having people drinking I their? It's clear they didn't expand it to the alleyways like they have in previous years so that might have been the issue too.

It's kind of annoying that you can't bring beer to the food trucks. I had to leave my beer unattended in order to get food.

Chugging a Fundamental Forces? Sounds like a good plan to get on a fast track to pukesville.
