Eagerly awaiting Dancing Man. It looks like it is in the stores, but it appears that NG still isn't distributing to Montana, maybe next year.

Once or twice a year I ride my motorcycle to either New Glarus or Monroe, or both.
The New Glarus brewery tour is nice, but I really like stopping at Puempel`s for sandwich and cold New Glarus.

Puempel`s has to be one of the coolest taverns in the country.

Such a great bar. I also try to stop at both towns when I'm passing through the area

I visit Baugmgartner's in Monroe, (limburger cheese sandwich) & Puempels in NG. The New Glarus beer is always great, but I have to start each visit w/ a draft Hamm's:grin:. With the draft Hamm's, I could cross post this in the two Hamm's threads:wink:!

    Enjoy the nice weather riding!

When I go to Baumgartners, it`s always a Swiss on Rye with a Huber Bock!
Never had the courage to try the Limburger sandwich. Did you know that Limburger cheese is only made in place , in the entire country? That place is Monroe, Wisconsin.

The Limburger actually has a pretty mild Brie-like flavor. Sometimes the nose will catch you, though.

Haha, I know what you're saying about the Limburger!

Years ago, I worked with a unit of French Marines & shared many meals with them. The Major of the unit told me to never smell French cheese, just eat it....Good words to live by, that's how I manage the Baumgartner's Limburger sandwich :stuck_out_tongue:! I do pass on the large slice of raw onion tho:wink:

Interesting information on the production of the cheese, I wasn't aware of that!

I like that the majority of Baumgartner's draft list is local WI beers. Such a great area to visit!

I had the day off so I took the dog on some hikes. I popped in the Depot, they had mostly the usual suspects, but they did have one R&D beer, Vintage 2023. Many cases of that. I bought a couple, as the Vintages are usually great.

They had some Berliner Apfel at the Depot, if anyone is looking for that. I thought it was very good last summer; got a couple more bottles. I don't really age beer but I suspect it holds up ok for a year or so?

For some reason, the album Meat Puppets II has become the soundtrack for the drive to New Glarus.

The OG lawsuit thread is locked, so I'll report here the appellate court upheld the lower court's rejection of the lawsuit filed by three minority shareholders.

Love seeing Kid Kolsch returning again for another year. NG best beer imo.

So interested in what an imperial raddler will taste like. Knowing NG, it’ll be perfection.

Can always dip your toes with a Hoppin Frog shandy, not far off and way stronger than the typical.

Looking forward to having Pilsner again. I wonder if they'll tweak the recipe at all? I personally would like a little more noble hop character... but will definitely be buying this all summer long.

A run to the Cheddar Curtain in May might be in order. Kid Kölsch & Pilsner seem like particularly good options for the holiday weekend.

Well, I was watching the Badger Beer Hour (and 40 minutes) for March, and apparently, NG has released a R&D beer. A bourbon barrel Scotch Ale.

1 hour and 37 minutes in to the stream.
Being 6 hours away from NG, I can't confirm.
