Nice to be back on the overnight shift. I am up at this point since I have an early work appointment for the first time in downtown Chicago. It is merely a refresher course from the Board of Elections to serve as an election judge this year. Have only done this once prior back in 2004. Thankfully everyone posting here legally was alive at that stage, at least based on puritanical American laws. This should help me get through class.

Full review in the 2024 Cellar Review Thread if you are interested. Bottom line, I enjoyed the 2021 can pour two years out slightly more than the 2019 draft pour at the brewery, though the difference may have been chalked up to delivery methods. This beer has dropped off significantly, without the complex and sharp flavors you find 0-2 years out. That said, still enjoying a lot, just not as the World Class beer it typically is.

If I still have steam after my class, I may explore a brewery or two downtown or on the way back home.

This song was released a couple months before I started my first post college job just kitty corner from City Hall.

Everything I get from Prairie these days is so disappointing. What happened to the standard?

Wife saw a hair place across from the market.. decided to get ‘The Works’.,. it’s her birthday tmrw., what can a poor boy do?!?

 

North Coast never did me wrong til this one. One of us got on the hazy train too soon. It's ironic that IPAs were originally made for a long voyage but now they have no shelf life.
