Boulevard Dark Crator (12.5%): A BBA Doppelbock from Kansas City with flavors of bourbon, caramel, brown sugar, and bread. Rich and sweet.

Popped this one open today for my super bowl pick. Don't know how much of it I'll be able to get through. An unique beer in that it's a BBA Doppelbock. Big and rich classic Doppelbock flavors with the addition of bourbon flavors. Pretty much drinks as described t and very enjoyable. Going to be picking and rooting for Kansas City tonight. Channeling some Dark Crator (or rather Mahomes) Magic!

 

Figured it was prudent to get ready for this week's snowstorm with a rare-for-me second beer of the day. Making it a classic that I haven't had in a while.

 

Bourbon County circa 2013. Half for me half for the chili. I hope the chili doesn't taste oxidized. The beer for it's advanced age isn't bad. Held up better than me!

Onto round 3 of the Super Bowl tailgate, enjoying a Rosemary IPA from Greenwood Brewing in PHX. Initially the shift from lagers was extremely herbal, but as i sip on the citrus and grassy hops work well with the adjunct and give a classic WCIPA bitter finish. Interesting beer. Still listening to Tom Petty's Buried Treasure on SXM and caught an old favorite i first heard via The Who. The video is rare footage from the American Bandstand archives 56 years ago.

Unpacked a few boxes after almost 5 years since our move..found my Hamms light, slight crack in it but still works.

 

I have no idea how long it’s been since I’ve had this beer. 10 years, at least. I’m not a huge IPA guy, but have had a hell of a hop itch recently. The old classics have been scratching that itch (dfh 60 min and lagunitas ipa have been recently and thoroughly enjoyed). This is another classic that does the job. Salute!

I managed to come across a bomber of this yesterday in Delaware. What a wonderful looking bottle.

Can't decide who to cheer for tonight. But as far as my beer selection goes, it's clearly a Northern California win.
