Thank you @Shanex for your drawing and open! Sorry if I didn't recognize who this is if a contemporary actress, but haven't seen many movies the past several years. I do enjoy her, whether real or imagined.

Back with a variant take on my favorite annual Deep Woods release.

    Revolution / Binny's Collaboration V. S. O. R. Select

They used Binny's bourbon barrels, and while I don't shop there I do appreciate the yield this collaboration produced. Full review on our 19th Anniversary New Beer Sunday thread linked here!

Hope you can stop in and if enjoying a new beer, take the chance to share with us this weekend (open through Monday with the Washington Birthday Holiday) or consider joining us some weekend soon.

@ChicagoJ - No worries she’s just a random woman I sketched. Not a celebrity or actress in any way. Cheers!

Pot-stilling some sweet goodness and swilling some 211 while getting ready to “mash-in” another batch.

    Cheers!

Kwak Blonde. Better than the regular and known to many Kwak, which I drink sometimes as well. There are other variants of Kwak now.

    G'day all!

Canned December 13th and super delicious. Part of the 3 IPAs that I have been enjoying lately though this one is not locally available. Two Hearted and Centennial are the other 2.

    Prost!

Good day BAs! Thanks @Shanex for getting us started today! Off to a snowy start to the day - we got 2-3 inches yesterday, but the longer grass blades are still sticking through and my asphalt south-facing driveway is bare, so "Who cares"! Currently 21F/-6C and cloudy. Thus far it's been a mild to non-existant winter - being nice to groundhogs pays off!

Today's Cellaruary beer is another example of Gulden Carolus Cuvee Van de Keizer, this one from 2000.

    Final impression and summation: 3.25

Now I’ve dragged two old bottles from beer reefer #1, bottles of a once-favorite brew. My theory is that when Shelton Brothers quit importing, they released a warehouse full of unsold items of various ancientness to the distributors, hence this old beer. Still, for old times sake, I felt compelled to buy this former favorite and temporarily home it in first my main beer reefer and second, my stomach.
Comparing the two, the 2007 was 11% ABV while the 2000 vintage was 8.5%, yet I could smell the ethanol in the 2000 but not the 2007 – I guess ethanol outlasts fruits, despite the loss of the “angel’s share” through the cork. Both bottles showed oxidation yet neither had the cardboard taste usually associated with said oxidation. Both liquids seemed less viscous then previous samples, but my brain has all the holding power of a steel colander, so I won’t really assume that that is a function of the brews’ ages. In general, I’ll pass on any bottles I find in the future, unless Het Anker begins producing this again.

It's Lager time! When isn't it?
Not the freshest, canned In October, but it seems to cover all the bases for a Helles. I'm guessing that it was kept under more ideal conditions before I got a hold of it.

    Prost!

    Happy Sunday BA's

Got my BIrthday 5 points of good beer karma today (thanks Todd!), so I got that going for me, which is nice!

Completing my 66th orbit around the sun has made me thirsty early - this will work for an early birthday sip! Cheers all!

[IMG] I have been spending a good amount of time with family during this loss. I got a tad twisted with a cousin last night. I feel like the wife is not happy with me? Tasty stuff just the same. Cheers

Happy Sunday everyone! Thanks @Shanex for opening today's bar. Good sketch.
    Happy belated birthday @Reef!
Regarding the 2018 Allagash Resurgam yesterday, the funk is certainly there but well integrated and buffered by other aroma. Just smelling great overall.

    Happy birthday @BeerVikingSailor!

It's worth a Celebration to start the day.

Great to see some Jack's Abby making it to Wyoming. Hopefully you can get your hands on some fresher stuff at some point. I find this Helles to be top-notch within the first 2-3 months.

It only made its way via Beer Drop. It would be a go to if I had it in town.
