Well, a couple of days to go, and I'm chomping at the bit to come up with hints in the geographical/history/political (staying within the rules here) wheelhouse for my victim, I mean potential target.

I may send one of my last Valkyrie Beers off to my target from the big city of Dallas... Wisconsin. RIP Valkyrie, and I hope Randy and Ann enjoy their much deserved retirement.

Don't have much left. A target would likely get a Whispering Embers which was their Oktoberfest beer. I picked up a 6 pack at their final Oktoberfest back on October 7th 2023, but had no clue at the time they were closing for good.
It was a 2 1/2 hour drive there, but I had so much fun every time I went there. My friend Tim called it the "candy store" because they had a walk in cooler where you could mix and match. The prices were insane. You could get a case of their beer for $32, and I did many times. It was even better when you could get a 16oz pour for $2, if you bought the glass. I did, and did. They eventually upped it to $3. They also did tours of the brewery on Saturdays, and at the end, they gave samples of the 14 taps. I was the driver, so skipped that part, but, it got my friends sloshed. I learned a lot from the tour, and used some of the knowledge in a beer class I was asked to teach for my work.
I met up with cheeseheadinMinneapolis at the last Valkyrie Oktoberfest.

I don't blame the owners for closing. They did it for 30 years and were ready to retire. I owned a restaurant for 15 years and was ready to run like hell after that. I get it, but will miss Dallas, Wisconsin. I really have no reason to go there anymore.

 

I have skimmed a bit through this thread. I did not see if @tasterschoice62 has been asked to join in the insanity here.

 

I've been out of the loop for awhile. Have been sending beers out in smaller quantities to some BAs...Kind of like that. Although I do miss the BIFs.... convince me

 

You know you want to join in the insanity that is this BIF! Just for the smack talk alone. And if that isn’t enough, then the wanton destruction of porches across North America might help.

 

Hell why you tempt me now at this hour when I have a breakfast party at 10 tomorrow...hmm give me a day...I have exploded some porches in the past. I think @superspak was a doozy..unless I've forgotten
