Guess the Hop A by Siren. They've done single hop beers and you've got to try and guess the hop.

Full review in the New Beer Weekend $188 thread. Bottom line, this is like a typical AAL, salt and cracker is what I get, aroma more complex.

Good day BAs! Thanks @chrisiswhothisis for starting today's thread! And you LUCKY bastards currently (or in the past) who are consuming (or have consumed) Utopias, share the wealth! I've never even seen one of these except in photos on BA - if I ever saw one in person, it'd be in my grubby hands instantly!

Today's breakfast beer is another Cellaruary selection, Cuvee Van de Keizer Rood from Het Anker and 2008:



16 years hasn't beat this one up too badly, more likely my tastes have shifted a bit over the centuries. Overall, I'd say this one has held up well, unlike the Blauw I sampled last weekend. At the lower alcohol (10% ABV Rood vs the 14% ABV Blauw) the alcohol is still noticeable and the mild fruit and yeast flavors still come through. The final pour of the Rood did bring up a bit of liquid flotsam, unlike the Blauw which dumped turd-like jetsam in my final glass.

PS. - I show the cork just in case anyone is interested. I've got a bunch of corks to give away if anybody wants them. BM me.
