New Prison City BA Wham Whams. IDK. I’m not digging it as much as the last version. I think the Four Roses barrel is more prominent, and that’s not my favorite barrel for stouts. It’s still well made, good coconut, light vanilla, solid barrel tannins… Maybe I’ll keep this out of the trade options unless someone is a fan of 4R.

How does that Original Detroit Lager hold up to say, hmm maybe, Hamm's in comparison?

Lived in Chicago for 40 years so drank many of those. I still swear the recipe was tampered with in the early eighties.

 

Not ever seen any Pow Wow near this massive, but the ones I've been to were plenty good. They are striving to still stay connected to their culture. I find it inspiring on so many levels.

Hamm's is smoother by far and aal (of course). And cheaper by far. Altes has a good old school grampa beer bite that I enjoy, reminds me of Narrgansett Lager. All malt. Enjoy both.
