This is not a religious point I am making by posting this. Infunde Amorem means “spread love” in Latin. I approve of this statement and generally keep my beliefs for me.

    Good morning Advocates,
waiting to go and conclude an exchange and put some fresh hops in the fridge (there is an Italian ALDER brewery, which has the Masterbrewer who is probably the best at making hopped beers here in our country, Marco Valeriani, of whom he is It's really a shame not to hear your opinion because in my opinion it's making bomb after bomb), I'll give you the beer I just added to the site database:

    Birrificio 50&50 (Varese, ITA) - SILVIO'S - Oatmeal Stout (5,2%)

33 cl can (€5 at the pub fridge).
On the label: "Canned on: 05/12/2023 - Best before: 05/12/2024".
Freshly poured: light roasted and toasted aromas, beautiful beige foam cap, black in color with dark brown reflections.
In the mouth a micro-carbonation that is almost reminiscent of nitrogen carbide (but it is not a nitro-stout) which accompanies a soft, light but very tasty drink.
The taste is not intrusive but the toasted and roasted nuances of the malts can be felt well, reminiscent of recently roasted coffee beans, a bitterish taste of dark chocolate closes a drink made soft, slightly silky by the oats.
Linear, soft but tasty without going overboard: beer that is stylish and balanced in its simplicity.

    This one seems appropriate.

Southern Prohibition Brewing Typical Tuesday Pilsner Lager.

Light golden color with white cap and lacing.

A clean aroma of sweet malt and floral, spicy hops.
Taste of lightly caramel malt balanced by sharp, floral hops. I cannot identify these hops except to say they are bold and bright in a floral way. Simple flavors that work well and finish dry. Interesting take on the Pilsner style being fuller and punchier than the usual European examples yet not brash. It comes across as simple, clean, uncluttered and unsubtle yet very enjoyable.

Medium full texture with a bit more carbonation than needed.

This brew is more Pilsner style than the usual AAL pretenders and should make a good food match.

Good morning/day BAs! Celebrating another day of good livin’ … today’s coffee is FW’s “Parabola” (2023):

Poured at 55°. Aged one year equally between 8 yr old Blanton’s Bourbon barrels and 12 yr old Weller Wheated Whiskey barrels. Oaky bourbon entry with dark chocolate following. Dry grainy barrel feel and dry wooden linger. Not at all adjuncty. Always impressive.

A beautiful day on tap here with temperatures souring into the mid 70s. I believe I will work on my patio “garden” and a perhaps a beer buzz  Cheers and have a well balanced Wednesday y’all!

Hello friends! Thanx @Shanex for another cool day at the VB. Very cold weather here today so indoors it is! My recent lil' beer haul included a number of American craft Pilsners. Every beer is a prize. Early to bed and early to rise makes an Advocate's thirst for beer come alive. This Czech/Bohem inspired unit is really nice. Lawson's Scrag Mountain Pils. Enjoy your day! Cheers!

Pleasantly surprised to find that this 2012 Narwhal is drinking just fine! Hardly any oxidization, still thick, char and dark chocolate.

Too cold, too windy, and too cloudy for golf today. Let's see what's in the fridge.

    Hey BA's

Happy weird weather Wednesday! From upper 60s and sunny for a few days to big wind, rain, t-storms and snow coming later this evening.....ah, gotta love it!

Tasty stout from local R. Shea, which sadly is closing on March 3....he makes good beer!

In for a penny, in for a pound - BCBS (2022):

Bottled 2/Aug/22. Poured at 56°. Better, imo, than the Parabola (4.75 taste) I just enjoyed. Smoother, creamier and without the barrel dryness. More bourbon and chocolate. One of my several 5s on Untappd.

A lazy day for me ahead, including a likely afternoon nap. Cheers y’all!
