What part of New York are you in? Could be easier (and better) to find a draft event, such as in Philly or Maine. That said, a bottle of Younger shouldn't be that difficult to trade for around release, which I'm sure you're already watching.

Long Island, Monks has had it along with other RR great beers, I have been tantalizing close to making the trip down there but a bit of a journey and haven’t pulled the trigger.

    Thanks for the response.

Just to amplify this a bit...

It's true that there will be bottles of Younger again this year, but it's still pretty limited. It's only available at the two brewery sites during release week (which actually lasts 15 days I believe), and the allocation is two bottles per customer. There's generally a considerable wait to get into both locations (though I don't think people camp out over night at the Santa Rosa location anymore), and many people attend the event solely to try it on tap at the source.

That being said, as @Sabtos alluded to, you should be able to make a trade for a bottle or two, with the right amount of inducement. I've never had Younger out of the bottle, but have heard that it doesn't age particularly well, and so you'll want to try to obtain it as fresh as possible.

P.S. I used to live in Baltimore and would drive up to the Philly area most years to sample Younger. It's a very good TIPA IMHO, and most places would have some sort of event surrounding the tapping of their keg. So typically there was more than just Younger to drink at one of these events. Also, since RR opened their Windsor production facility, they now make a lot more of it. So it's become increasingly easy to find it in SEPA (Monk's got two half kegs this year I understand), and of course they now bottle a certain amount each year. I know it's a haul to get to Philly from Long Island, but in the end that might be the easiest way for you to get to try it. Unfortunately, you'll likely have to wait till next year, as the Philly area got their allocation several weeks ago, so it's likely all gone now.

I was unaware that RR distributed to Maine. What do you know?

    Good luck.

It's 2 bottles per customer per day per location. A local who was motivated could obtain 4 bottles per day on a lot of days without long waits (assuming they don't have a strict work schedule). Not that it's the equivalent of a shelf beer, but if you are proactive about seeking a trade out ahead of the brewery release you could probably line up a bottle or two pretty easily and without having to break out any super elite bottles.

Anyone got a handle on what last year's bottles of Hill Farm Ann are trading for these days?

I would guess 600-800ish? What once was an easy 1k beer, I'd imagine these last two drops have dropped the value a bit.

Anyone have any idea what could be a fair trade for a 2016 SARA Recency Effect batch 1? Would a Clover or Samuel be about right?

    Maybe Clover + Samuel.
Recency b1 is legendary and there’s very few in the wild at this point. It’s roughly 8-9 years old, and was a club-only beer at that time.
It’s one of those iykyk situations. Many beer nerds may not even know what it is, but those that do are keeping it close. A “GOAT” SARA beer. Probably in the all-time top 5, of a brewery that is debatably along the lines with Hill Farmstead.

Anyone have an idea what Dimensional's Aibohphobia (2024) is trading for? I have someone that gave me the "just send me what you think is fair" (??) which is baffling to me, and I hate having to determine on my own what's fair - appreciate any input - thx.

Chances are the person who said that is not caught up in secondary value. I'd try to send out some stuff that I felt was good that match his $4$ value. Not sure how much it was but assuming most 750 BA pastry's are gonna be $40-50.

I was wondering same thing. Anybody know if Aibohphobia 2024 be 1:1 with Bertha 2024 or Damon Riserva Two? I have been out of trading a long time.

Thx - locked down a bottle for a few Voodoo Black Magicks - so closer to the $4$ route.

Been out of the beer collecting game for a few years. Curious on some rarer bottles I have and what the trade value of these look like mostly older Hill Farmstead:
    - WoL SARA
    - Flora Batch 3
    - Flora Batch 4
    - Biere de Norma 2011 (B1, only 300 bottles)
    - Biere de Norma 2014
    - Damon b1
    - Civil Disobedience 11/15/17/18/21
    - Juicy 2016

They should all have good trade value.
WoL SARA and older CD’s are whales.

I have a few bottles of cellared Harlan's Even More Jesus. Would like to set up a trade but thought I would ask what everyone felt is a good trade value. If I recall correctly, they were around $60 per bottle.

Sorry to be blunt, but just to answer your question -- I don't think that this is something very many people would want to trade for, especially at its primary price point ($4$) of like $40-$50. I could be wrong, but at the very least I think you would have to be open to casting a very wide net (i.e. "Anyone have any local beers they'd like to trade for this?"), but even then it would probably be tough finding somebody wanting to ship for it.
