Trade groups have everyone trading Arabesque for Minutiae. I love it!

BIL got both bottles so now I don’t have to open either of my member bottles with him. Schwing!

Ended up going 1 for 2 getting Minutiae. Picking up on Saturday so hopefully AR will still be on tap to try.

Gonna hit P3 Elmhurst on Saturday to pick my beers up and do dinner. Excited to check everything out. Do they ever hold kegs back/rotate things in to spread access out over the duration of a release/pick up window? I know many breweries take this approach, wasn't sure about P3. I don’t see Minutiae Reserve or Arabesque Reserve on at Elmhurst, but Minutiae is on in LZ. Was hoping there was a chance to get a pour of one while there. Maple Pressed is on, but that does nothing for me. The Elmhurst location doesn't even have the Irish Stout on . Guess I might have to slum it with a lukr pour of the Baltic porter.

My experience is something good usually comes on the menu on Friday. That’s generally every time I’ve gone and there’s been at least one BA goodie. Eunoia, BA Niu, Minutiae

They had their Irish dry stout on last weekend but it was a busy weekend.

I heard a waitress mention they were running through the Irish stout so quickly that they pulled it because there’s a parade coming up and they wanted it on tap during that event.

Appreciate the feedback everyone. How hard will it be to get a table for 2 on a Saturday evening?

There will be a wait, but you can join a waitlist through their website on your way there.

I'm stopping out Thursday - will be the 2nd time at Elmhurst - really enjoyed it last time. Great smash burger.

Pro tip for the future. Don't go to P3 Elmhurst on the day of the St. Patty's Day parade if you're looking for their usual taproom and dining experience. Reduced tap list of 10 beers, 3 of which were sold out. No sit down service. Reduced food menu of about 6-7 St Patty's themed items. Tables all removed for high tops and folding tables that people stood around. Place smelled and sounded like the bars I tried hard to avoid in college - stale spilled beer and blasting late 90s/00s pop hip-hop. It was hard to have a conversation in there.

Now I get this was the parade day, which apparently is a big happening and they are well positioned for it. And that's great. I'm all for it. But it wasn't super clear on their social media platforms that their business would be totally transformed for the day. A little more details about all that would've been great for someone not super familiar with the area. I would've worked out a different day to get there during my trip up had I been super clear about all that. I was really looking forward to eating and drinking there tonight. Won't stop me from coming back to try again in the future and I'm sure it was a fun day there and the staff are probably wiped after a long day. Just kind of a bummer for the wife and I.

We had a quick beer, over priced app that was so so, got my bottles, and quickly left for More to get some dinner. /shrug

I would have had this exact same take. That sucks that this was the day you went.

It's Elmhurst's St. Patrick's Day. It's kind of a debacle around that area after the parade closes down. The place is a local restaurant - their priority is going to be to do what works the local community that day, not 5 ounce tekus of big beers. I bet the police ask places like that not to do heavier drinks that day.

The "we will have our two Irish brews in plastic cups so you don't lose your parade spot" Instagram post should be a clue, but if you're expecting them to post on IG "whatever you do - don't come to our business today", you're gonna be disappointed.

Had a great experience at P3 Elmhurst yesterday - beers and wings were fantastic, staff was fantastic. Second visit to both P3 and More Villa Park - beautiful day in Chicago.

I always forget coming from PA what a treasure Binny's is, as well, though seeing the BCBS stouts I have to wait in line in the cold for just sitting on the shelf at 70% of what I paid for them was a kick in the nuts haha.

Jewel osco had even higher markdowns than Binnys recently, not sure if that's still going on.
