    Part 2:

    for cellaring 4 packs

1-2 4-packs is an additional $18 shipping separate from the single bottles and cans

    3-4 4-packs $23 shipping

I buy 4-packs very infrequently so would probably never cellar these and try to pair them with a box purchase (free shipping) or another flat rate $20 purchase

also be advised that there is currently a shipping backlog outside of the CA area due to a change in their distribution chain and there could be up to a 3 week delay between order and when it leaves CA. Hopefully this gets resolved soon.

    1. I've never had one beer from The Bruery. I don't expect to go crazy with ordering hundreds of dollars worth of beer each month. Is there something I should be doing?
    [/QUOTE]

Good luck with that! Start saving as you’ll no doubt find some great beers you’ll really enjoy. The archival sales are a great way to “catch up” on past highlights as well. Other things to expect? I joined in 2021 and since then have added four more beer storage coolers to my basement since many of their beers age so well. Get ready for that too.

The free shipping over $200 doesn't include things in your cellar correct?

That is correct. It applies for newly purchased items only.

if you are asking about the select box and you think you might have accidentally cellared it instead of shipping you might be able to work that out with The Bruery. I also don’t know if that applies to the box (i.e. when do you become a member in that transaction? Are you only a member now for subsequent purchases?) would be best to email them I think

Mmmm... 2020 Pie Happy still great. So incredibly smooth and mellow, yet also a ton of spice and apple (and not in a bad way).

I find this funny. Because I love bananas, eat them everyday, but I'm also not a fan of most of these banana beers. As I find most of them come across as the flavor of the brown spoiled bananas that I throw away. So maybe its me too. But I think there are a lot of "me-s" out there.

The exception is the banana flavor a brewer can pull from the esters. That I very much enjoy.

In fact, one of the best banana beers I've had in the last few years is Heavy Things. A Bruery/Firestone collaboration. A wonderful barley wine with with a banana foster character. No bananas added. I'm not really sure how they pulled off the flavor, but its quite good. And in true Bruery form, its quite strong, clocking in at 16.5 %

Heavy Things was freaking awesome. I wish Bruery still made their own barleywines that bold.

This is a great observation on the esters. I don't love the over the top ones, but a bit is nice. Almanac near me just did a classic hefe with awesome esters.

Just opened my Pass A Good Time, and it also very slowly foamed out of the top. Everything seems fine otherwise, but just throwing this out there to say yours wasn't the only one...

Well East Coasters, I guess now you know how to get your beer... You just need to invest in a satellite tasting room near your home! :stuck_out_tongue:

Seriously though, hope they're right about Boise being a good test space... Definitely perked my ears up that a Bay Area location is on the radar. Nothing happens until it happens, but at least the conversation started!

Samesies. Well, slow, then fast but recovered most of it with no issue. The change in speed caught me off guard momentarily.

Eh...at this point I just want to get the beer I already paid for with my membership with no added costs and then we can call it a day.

The proposed title: "Bananas! Yuck!" made me laugh.

Opened my last One & Dunn can tonight. Chocolate from the malt blends well with rye barrel spiciness. Excellent beer that largely flew under the radar because its big brother One & Dunn GR coming out at the same time.

Thank the heavens! I just got a tracking number (“Order in Preparation”) for the cellar cleanout I placed on February 8th. 13 bottles and 2 cans.

Curious to hear people's thoughts on As Far As The Rye Can See vs other recent non-adjunct premium stouts from them.

Also, where does Mother Floater fall on the hit/miss spectrum? I like root beer... I'm meh on beers trying to be like other things... but a licorice stout sounds tasty. Makes me think of Fremont's Rusty Nail perhaps...

I am honestly kinda scared to try Mother Floater.....we are totally opposite, I am worried about the licorice lol.

Pumped to try As Far as the Rye Can See though!

The apple brandy barrel is what has me really furrowing my brow at Floater... my brain can't reconcile how that is going to work.

Licorice is a weird one for me... like black licorice jelly beans are the best jelly beans... but other black licorice like good'n'plenty or the black red-vines are disgusting garbage. I still haven't figured out where the ingredients diverge for my taste.

That’s why I’m glad it’s an included and splurged on “As Far as the Rye Can see “

I completely agree about the apple brandy barrel! Historically I have love apple brandy beers, so that has me super intrigued! Also agree the licorice is likely going to be ok, or terrible depending how it comes across. But I am 100% nervous I am gonna hate it haha!

Mother Floater was really interesting. I honestly thought I was going to hate it. I think that having root beer as part of the description is throwing it off. Some might think back to Leidercola and want to pass. It did not taste like alcoholic root beer. There was the faint licorice on the back-end and overall I liked it. I do plan to go back and get a full pour and chill with it for awhile before I buy more than the included bottle. It's thicc! Wish I could be more help, but I do feel you have to try it before you write it off.
