I have not had that one yet from Parkway. How was it?

 

Resetting the palate after the big, adjunct-laden Stout. Glint from Autodidact Brewing. Citra, Simcoe, and El Dorado. Crisp, clean, and freshly-canned. Cheers!

 

Full disclosure, not literally drinking this beer now—but this is what is on the agenda for today. Been cleaning moss off the roof on this unseasonably warm, sunny day and need to take a shower first, maybe call my mom. Happy St. Patrick’s Day all! Sláinte!

 

Out of Irish themed beers for now. Going to my roots with a Tree House Grodziskie. The smoke is barely noticeable after sitting by the windy fire pit for an hour.

 

My wife calls St Patrick’s Day amateur night as well.
Quite a few years back we were in Chicago during St Patrick’s Day and saw the parade and the green river. It’s nutso but in a good way. We ended up in the Billy Goat Tavern, and we were sitting on the end of the bar near where the food window was and every so often a hand would come out an slide green beers to us. That’s the last thing I remember about our trip.

 

Starting off with something light but flavorful from OEC.

 

In the spirit of the season, we’ll allow it

 

Watching college baseball and drinking awesome beers. Lost Time from Blue Jacket. Three weeks until our spring break DC visit, during which I'll certainly sample one or more of these.

Samuel Adams Breakaway Blonde Ale



Light gold color with small white cap.

Aroma of sweet grain and sharp, spicy hops.

Taste on entry is even parts grain and hops. Grain flavor is simple and light with hops more prominent and lasting into the aftertaste. Finish is clean and mildly spicy. A less bold version of an American Pale Ale.

Light texture with balancing carbonation.

Overall it's pleasant and competent without being outstanding in any particular way.

Some Deschutes Fresh Squeezed paired with PGA golf. With my dad critiquing golfers we'll never be a fraction as good as lol. Cheers!
