Home safely with the RV. Thunder and lightning as I sit on the condo balcony with a Torpedo this evening, big ass fan spinning away:



As will happen at the pub, earlier, several regulars showed up with beers to share. I rarely post here, or even tic on Untappd while I’m sampling because I’m such a chatty Cathy and really love the community goofiness…I can barely photograph and write in my log book what I am sampling…

Trying something different tonight…over the years I’ve mentioned that my friends and I break into spontaneous beer shares with the owners of the bar…tonight I’ll just list what I drank or sampled this afternoon:

1. Green Dart German pilsner on tap full pour by King State Brewing;

2. Tronic, a hazy IPA by Pueblo Vida Brewing, Tucson AZ, with Nectaron, Citra and El Dorado;

3. Concord Grape, a sour from Edmonds Oast, Charleston SC, on tap, full pour;

4. Cereus, Hazy IPA by Vida Brewing Company, Tucson AZ. Strata, Citra and Mosaic. Very tasty but I liked the Nectaron variety better.

5. Black Gold (2021) variant from Central Waters, Amherst WI, BBA with chocolate, marshmallows and cookies. Chocolate fudge delish…one of the best beers I’ve tried so far in 2024. From the “Share” cooler” at the bar.

6. Barrier’s “Fault Line” IPA. 16 oz can from the bar’s for sale cooler. . Outstanding IPA.

7. Burial’s “All The Little Things That Destroy Us” DIPA. My friend John just got a case delivered from the brewery, free shipping, outstanding beer!

8. Burial’s “All We Are Is Slew Decay”, another tasty DIPA.

9. Bar owner Tegan pulled out an “Italian Stout” Giulia by Birra Agricola Friulana. None of us thought it was stout like. I went with a fruity/esters / dobbel bock vibe, and others sayin dark lager. Drinkable, but not very good and not a stout.

10. Our friend Aaron from Manchester, UK showed up with beer: Gravity Rainbow, a WC style IPA from Track Brewing, Manchester UK. No pine but easy drinking and tasty with Cascade and Simcoe hops.

11. “Sureshot”, 2nd Birthday Beer (IPA) from Track Brewing with Nelson, Citra, Mosaic, and Galaxy. Consensus was maybe the best of the IPAs today, over the excellent Burial beers sampled.

I love my friends. I love my pub. I’m grateful.

Funny you mentioned that. I did hit the Dewitt Wegmans. Crazy amount of craft beer there for a supermarket. Bringing home some beers from Other Half, Prison City, Fiddlehead, and Lawson’s. I wish we could stop by Rochester but we’re heading out early tomorrow. Stopping overnight in Cleveland before home to St. Louis. It’s 14 hours each way.
