That'd been my assumption, but I saw this on their website:

    Possibly just marketing hype?

My gut is they may have licensed these spaces for brewing. But I don’t think they’re used much at all. Probably more marketing as you said. The proof is how they discuss the new beers that come out taking a day to be shipped to each taproom for sale the next day.

thanks for the info! this confirms my assumption, and I can now continue talking smack about their faux-locality.

Charlton classic bar was void of any light beers, two random smoked. About 8 variations of Bear. Maybe cut back on fruited IPAs and work in a few lagers?

Yeah, I happened to be driving by Deerfield the other night and pulled into the lot on a whim hoping to pick up some Trail, Nomad, or Wanderer. I think I counted 40+ IPAs and 25 stouts/Bears/porters to go. Quaint was the only thing I considered but ended up leaving without placing an order.

They still brew beer in Monson, King JJJuiliusss is brewed in Monson. I think some other brands might be brewed in Monson on occassion. Any beer sold at Woodstock is brewed at Woodstock. All others are Charlton only if that’s what the labeling states.

Unless something has changed, no wort is created in Woodstock.

Red Fern is amazing. Sapphire Rose, not so much imo. Very “earthy” and not much vibrance

First stop in for me at the Sandwich location today. Super laid back atmosphere and not a ton of people. Service, view and the beer couldn’t have been any better!

Going to try and hit Tewksbury for the first time Friday around lunch.

What’s your source for the still brewing king jjj at Monson?

not saying you’re wrong, just wondering

I don't think this is accurate. The amount of KJJJ they produce would not be possible in Monson. Not sure what you're going by, but in one of the youtube videos Nate shows all the equipment that used to be in Monson is at the Charlton location

Probably the can itself, which still says Monson on it.

This. Look at their packaging. Some labeling says Charlton, some says Woodstock, some says just brewed in Mass, and finally you have King Jjj which states brewed in Monson.

Why would they go through this trouble of being this specific. @VodkaPong87, King Jjjj is what, quarterly? It’s not a ton of volume.

I get that but what would stop them from still keeping a brew house in Monson, money?
