Well, what the hell, been awake since 0345 when the wife got up for work. Load 2 of laundry going and watching Darwin's beer reviews so why not grab a 2 week old Head Hunter.....

 

Avondale Brewing Mosey Lager



Amber gold color with lasting white cap.

Aroma of sweet grain and mild hops.

Mild to medium sweet grain flavor with enough hop presence to overshadow the grain by a small margin. Clean, simple and uncomplicated flavors that come across as having a bit more stuffing than the usual AAL.

Overall I like this and find it worth the price. Nothing to get excited about but better than Bud.

Straight To Ale Chill Pils Pilsner



Taste on entry is mildly sweet malt and equally mild hop presence. Malt has a good flavor that's subtle yet more there than the usual AAL or light beer style. The hop presence really doesn't rise to what I think of as Pilsner level which is to say stays rather shyly in the background.

Cellar review link. Primary take aways are the maple is really strong, very surprised though it may be I'm even more sensitive to sweetness. Still enjoying,
