A variation of the last brown ale I had. This one with vanilla and coffee added. Quite nice.

 

Picked up some live Dungeness crabs fresh off the boat on the way out of town, steamed them as soon as we got back to the condo. Now enjoying a Fresh Squeezed. Tide is way out. Cheers!

 

Awesome, that is a great book, probably my favorite from last year. Love James McBride, all his books are great. Deacon King Kong is also just as good.

So... this is the redneck contraption I whipped up in 10 minutes with scraps from the garage. Figured it would shatter instantly!!... but, after slowly loading it by carefully cutting the 3 branches off that were holding it on the house... it eased on and held up!

Was enough for several cuts, all that was needed, and no longer hanging over my driveway. I can finish the biggest cuts near the trunk after the snow's gone. That's enough sawing above my head up on ladders in snowstorm initially and rain today!




I should probably have another after this so I can post another tree pic. Good excuse.

Sorry about the Cicadas, double brood hatch this year of the 7 and 13 yr variety. Expect trillions. I remember one year back in D.C. they were splatting into windshields like rain. At least the birds will be stuffed.

This beer is becoming a staple. Master Shredder. An IPA brewed by Veil.

Picked up a four pack at the local seafood store. Clams, shrimp, and cod for chow tonight.

 

Damn, I am jealous! I love Blue Points.
