What beer are you drinking now? #4187

ISIL cross-post. Next Wrestlemania eve I will be hosting a bottle share in the University of Minnesota area, not far from Surly Brewing. All the finest Midwestern beers will be represented. I will bring Toppling Goliath Brewing's KBBS. Details are to come as soon as Wrestlemania 41 at US Bank Stadium is officially announced tonight. I already have the hotel reservation. This will replace my previous preliminary plans for the greatest-ever bottle share in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, this summer. This beer is perfect for a windy and cool Wrestlemania Sunday. Morning from the Wyoming Black Hills. We have a pretty good spring storm going on. Rain, snow and high winds. The woodstove is roaring and we have plenty of beer. Life is good.

Cross post as always every weekend day, this one from New Beer Sunday #998. This the first of three singles from this Pennsylvania breweries I plan on hitting up the last April weekend.

Link to New Beer Sunday treatment. Bottom line, this can has no date, so not sure if age impacted, but this is a ok to good NEIPA offering, no excess sweetness, some type of balance.

Sorry to hear about the 3 Sheeps audible @GreenBayBA , but hope we can gather again down the road. Might just try to make it up to Milwaukee and or Sheboygan in May or early June to stock up for the Summer.

Boulevard Spiced Imperial BBA Stout, 15% ABV. I rated this 4.29 back in November.

The wind let up a bit, picked up some branches. Neighbor lost some shingles.

1) Bauhaus Zizkov (5.2%): A Czech Pils from Minnesota with flavors of pale malts, buttery bread, yeast, and a salty, yeasty bitterness.
versus
2) Bauhaus Wonderstuff (5.4%): A Czech Pils from Minnesota that has lemon citrus, bready and salty flavors. Smooth. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

Bahaus Czech Pils Battle, a brewery in Minneapolis.
First is Zizkov, a newer Czech Pils release. It's standard and authentic. Bitter, yeasty, and clean. It's excellent.
It's up against Wonderstuff, one of my favorite Czech Pils from them I've been drinking for years. Very similar, but Wonderstuff has slightly more lemon citrus notes. Slightly sweeter and more smooth.
Winner: Zizkov. I'm picking Zizkov as the winner here. I think the Zizkov Czech Pils is excellent in the style. I enjoy the slightly more bitter and salty notes. This was a fun comparison. Not sure why they made two Czech Pilsners, but I'm not complaining. These guys make a great Czech Pils, or two.
