Voodoo Ranger Tropic Force



Golden color with good white cap, intense aroma of Tropical hops and sweet malt.

When first opening the can hops fill the air with a rich scent that quickly shows the same intensity on first sip. Malt is strong as well but hops are large and in charge. I do find a tropical influence, mango, pineapple, that sort of thing with the hops, and the malt and hops are well matched.

Outsize flavor completely covers up the 9.5%, not a hint of alcohol, just a lot of malt/hop goodness.

Isn't is odd how we 'mourn' over our last can or bottle of a special beer? I want to hold on to it, butt with IPAs the clock is ticking....

 

Love seeing your Big Timber Porter David @DoctorZombies ! Hope we can secure another in person trade down the road in Sheboygan/Chicago or perhaps even down south.

I prefer the aggressive pour and dissipating the carbonation for most styles as well Dave @beergoot . I am a bit more conservative with my top offs, and rarely reach your level of creamy perfection.

Just one today, but held one well 18 days short of a year (my last can). Turned from a solid WCIPA to a solid Midwest IPA.

Schwechater Zwickl. The only beer I brought home from Vienna.
Although I've been traveling to Germany and Austria for decades by now, this style just recently came to my attention. Could be it is more available and promoted now, I don't know.
I can imagine sales and development at some classic breweries: 'we don't need to create a new hazy IPA, let's bring the pre-Roman Zwickl back in production'

The IPAs are solid B/B-; the raspberry sour is quite good! Sitting outside, overcast, breezy low 60s. A nice day to sample beers. Cheers from Athens OH!
