    Hello beer hounds! Woof!! Endless yard work continues. Tree pollen is driving me nuts. It's warm in the full sun here today and I've built up a thirst for some brewskies. Urban Growler Midwest IPA to begin. Say, I saw a thread a week or so ago re "Most breweries per Capita" or something to that nature, but I'm unable to relocate it. Upon thinking of it, a small Minnesota town Lucan has Brau Brothers Brewing and a population of about 215. Nice!! Cheers BAs!

    Clear, golden brown body; dense, slow-rising carbonation; thick, light khaki head, foamy and sticky. Weak aroma presence of sweet malts and barrel wood; maple syrup and light brown sugar scents, caramel. Deep, rich sweetness interspersed with bourbon in the taste; rye spiciness; boozy, phenol bitterness. Heavy body; mildly sticky residual sugars providing a touch of dryness on the palate.

    This is another good pFriem barrel aged barleywine. I didn't necessarily find it quite on par with the one from my last review, but this is certainly a beer I will gladly purchase again.

    Dark, burnished amber body, clear; thick, lively carbonation; nice high ABV head, one-finger think, sudsy. Rich, sweet caramel smell; dried figs. Big sweet and boozy taste; brown sugar, cinnamon, woody bourbon tones; bourbon aftertaste. Heavy body; syrupy; sludgy residual sugar presence; prominent alcohol heat.

    This is a massive beer, high gravity and boozy.

    Pouring temperature: 55 °F; bottling data: YEAR 2021 BOTTLED ON 10 04 21

    ...Atlantic salmon (farm) finished smoking over alder smoke (about 4 1/4 pounds of fish)...next up: 10 brats smoked with cherry wood...
