    Stone Brewing Delicious IPA

    Attractive light gold color with white cap and some lacing.

    Aroma is great. I like when I open a fresh brew and the hops jump out. This one gives off a clean, sharp, floral, citrusy, aroma with a bit of pine.

    Taste is outstanding. It begins with a hefty malt presence accented by these vibrant hops. Everything is working well together here and build my admiration for things Stone generally. I can actually taste the floral, citrusy nature of the hops as they are being carried merrily along by the malt. Like a quarterback following a hole blasted through the line by a guard. All this goes to the finish with a lingering bitterness in the aftertaste that is muted but noticable.

    Texture is a solid medium though some may consider it a bit fuller.

    Overall Stone scores. Here again we're facing a brew that is decided hoppy but this pony has other tricks. The substantial malt body remains throughout and doesn't flag. Hops keep singing along in perfect pitch. A brew that's taken a few elements and created something more complex and greater than the sum of parts.

    Happy Monday, Tax day, Boston Marathon day and Patriots day in the state of MA BA's! Laundry is going and I'm watching the recording of the 2024 Paris–Roubaix, the hardest of the 1 day spring cycling classics. The 29 sections of cobblestones, over 50KM, that are raced across are extremely brutal. I'll enjoy a KBS and watch the boys go to work.

    Bottled 2/21/24. Poured at 50°. A bit below cellar temp, this one came out of the fridge. Tasty!

    Hot sunny day on tap. Forecast advises we should hit low 80s this afternoon. I have some minor repairs to to in the RV which I will address while the weather is nice.

    Gnosis/Stacks Restaurant Cinnamon Toast Stacks Imperial Stout aged on Cinnamon Toast Crunch. This one is best enjoyed in small quantities due to it's sweetness, but it's absolutely delicious. It's exactly what they said it would be and captures the Cinnamon Toast Crunch vibe perfectly. Breakfast of champions right here.

    ...took my own common sense medical advice and booked an appointment with the highly regarded orthopedic surgeon who did my knee replacement seven years ago...I go in this Wednesday...I like my PCM, but the fact that he didn't even order imaging to see what's going on with my current hurting knee seemed strange to me...hopefully whatever my current issue is won't entail a full knee replacement, but I refuse to wait another month plus going to physical therapy (that may not help) and then waiting for a follow-up imaging and ortho appointment after that (what, another month or so?) when the underlying cause of my pain is unknown but can likely be determined with medical tools commonly available...beer time now...
