Hi, First post. I’m getting back into collecting the beer cans from microbreweries. The cans are basically becoming art. I plan on drinking the beer from the can, so it will be open. No drilling and draining the beer from the bottom of the can or anything like that. Once I’ve thoroughly rinse the can out is there anything else I should do to help protect it? Anything to spray on the inside of the can for additional protection?

    Thanks!

Why not? The cans opened from the bottom certainly look better on display. Actual drilling might be overkill (aluminum shards in the beer are unpleasant) but punching 2 holes with a sturdy knife / can piercer end of a church key / scratch awl is a simple process.

Inside? Why bother - beer cans are already lined with a polymer coating and since they are aluminum, not much chance of rusting or other corrosion since they will not come into contract with other metals. Probably a bigger chance to ruin the outside of the can trying to spray something inside it.
