Mother of All Bricks right there too. Lucky to find it on tap at their brewery last week. Cheers.

I just went back and looked at my ratings, and I was wrong. Decorating Pieces of Time was my highest rated, and Barley Barge was second. Hell, everything Jackie O's does seems to rank high for me. I'm moving to Athens.

Barley Barge is another good one, but I haven’t tried Decorating… yet. Endolith is pretty great and I took a bottle home last week. I’m saving a new-to-me 13.8% altbier from them for next NBW: Iron Sharpens Iron. Athens is a nice college town. I could definitely move there and just divert most of my income to Jackie O’s

The past month i have consumed Bigfoot vintages ranging from 2012-2024

2024 was the absolute best of them all .It eas great (tastes like ArrogantBastard)
    . 2023 was ok, 2022 same same.

everything from that to 2012 just got worse and worse . 2012 was a straight up nightmare .
People swear by the 5 year mark on herefor Bigfoot but i call SHENANIGANS cuz the 2019 one was awful compared to fresh 2024.

Can't speak on Expedition cuz ive never had anything beyond 3 years old but i did have a 2019BBA Expedition that was wa not good to me when compared to fresh, but i dont know shit about Russian Imperial Stouts

Can you say how some of those older ones were stored? Just had a 2019 the other day and it was great, delicate and sweet. I drink a lot of old Bigfoot and occasionally one does taste and look like dish water.

I meant the 2019 was horrible in comparison to the 2024 cuz the 2024 was fuckin awesome .
I wouldn't turn a 2019 down but would take fresh BF over an older one 10 outta 10 times.
7 of the vintages were cellared properly
I believe There are 0 improvements in aging any of them.Fresh Bigfoot just kicks ass and if some of you prefer it "aged" for a few years then you don't like bigfoot you like old beer.

Double Barrel Aged Life Unraveled from Icarus brewing. Bought this off Tavour probably a year or so ago. Aged in Heaven Hill barrels for 18 months and then private batch HH barrels for another 7 months. So basically 2.5 years of age on this since it was bottled in February of last year if I remember right. It’s definitely worth picking up. I don’t think it was outrageously priced or I wouldn’t have gotten it. It tastes sticky and sweet, but not over the top like you might find in Bottle Logic or Fremont barleywines. I think this is because it’s “only” 11% abv. Butterscotch for days. Really liking this. Almost wished I saved it for a nicer occasion, but I didn’t expect it to be so good.

Tree of Light from Tree House. Incredible barleywine. Barrel, burnt toffee, plums, raisins, figs, some chocolate, brown sugar, and a nice layer of vanilla. Cheers!

Ugh, this is on my mt. Rushmore. Only had one bottle and I was saving the empty bottle in my little collection of best beers and dropped it onto the concrete of my basement and it shattered! Hope they brew it again, but you know batch 1 is always the GOAT. Glad you got to have it!

Psychokinetic Energy from Bottle Logic and Barreled Souls! BA barleywine with no adjuncts. So good! Slightly smoky with notes of bourbon and toffee. Lovely!

Beer has taken a weird turn when a barley wine states "adjunct-free" on the label.
