I get what you're saying here. But if it's an improved X as Flipper Chad noted above, this will be a real treat, and I'm all in for this one. And I don't really love cherry in my BA beers, but X was a major exception. It was so well done.

Pretty sure they've got a sizeable barrel stock to be tinkering with anyways.

I was under the impression we'd be getting a cognac or brandy (I don't remember which) V.S.O.J. instead of this. I'm simultaneously a) not pumped and b) going to buy as much as this as possible.

Just saw the announcement of the Hero variety pack (Anti, Infinity, Hazy, and West Coast) does this replace the League of Heroes pack or is it in addition?

This replaces the LoH pack.

 

It's the permanent replacement until it gets replaced.

 

Guess I'll have to choke down 9 beers I don't want to get 3 I do.

 

Had a can of DDH Riwaka Hero earlier tonight. Nicely flavorful. Solid beer. One of the best in the DDH Hero series imo.

 

VSOR Select 4 packs are available at the Taproom (Kedzie Ave) again...an internet search says that's the case at the Brewpub as well.

Based on the stock still available at Binny's, I'm guessing a $50 4 pack of non-sweetened barrel-aged beer does a lot better at the teet for FUPA Godz than it does to the casual Binny's shopper. I assume Binny's is sending these back to the source for this reason, but I'm completely guessing.

Anyway...this beer still tastes amazing and if you have discretionary funds is absolutely worth it. I copped a 4 pack & will buy more.

 

Yeah, they were sitting in stacks at Binny's for quite awhile (at least LP Binny's), getting them back to where people can actually focus on/appreciate them is a good idea.

 

I thought I remembered a post about this.

Had a DBVSOJ gusher just now. First of a 4 pack stored in the fridge since I got them. Tastes great, but the carb is nonexistent compared to the typical level in the Deep Wood.
