Good morning all. Happy Mothers Day to any BA Moms. This juice is really good. Cheers all.

Depth Perception Imperial IPA



Dark Amber gold color with good white cap and lacing.

Aroma of a dense piney forest early in the day when the ground is still damp.

Taste is a double wide blast of malt and hops and I mean literally a double serving of both. A big whammy of flavors that make no excuses and take no prisoners. Relatively simple but big by any measure.

Full bodied texture with matching carbonation.

This is a true 4B, which is to say big, brawny, bruiser of a brew. Not a food beer and not for the timid.

Final Impression and summation: 3.5 Final pour dumps some snot into my glass, so am I dealing with bacterial glycocalcyx or remnants of the missing pumpkins. Whatever, I’ll allow my home drain to deal with it. Too bad – up to this point it was a passable spiced ale.

Rating 3.45, rDev -8.5%

 

These beers are always dominated by the vanilla. Still very tasty.

 

Walking back towards town and stopping at The Victoria for a pint.

Kingfisher by Animal Brewing. Mosaic pale

 

Next stop the Jericho Tavern. Pint of magazine Cover by Deya, cracking pale ale.

They also just happen to have BCBS on draught in the middle of Oxford! £6.50 for a 1/3.

@CarolinaCardinals - I just your post from last night. Yes, the BA series from Oskar Blues is definitely worth it. Also, the brewery is in a very chill laid back place, worth a visit. I visited Sierra Nevada afterwards which was a 20 min. drive and also worthy of a visit. Cheers!
