This baby was off the retail shelves for a number of years and it's back! Very good & simple.
Urban Growler De-Lovely Porter 5.6% ABV
3.98/5 rDev +3.1%
look: 4.25 | smell: 3.75 | taste: 4 | feel: 4.25 | overall: 4
16 oz can with no date and no ABV into a nonic pint glass.
L: SRM 39 Pours darkest brown to black with a slight amount of light at the base showing through as ruby mahogany, a thin creamy beige head, very fine steady carbonation that's a bit hidden, head recedes to frothy edge foam, light antique lacing.
S: Chocolate, darkly roasted caramel malts, grains, very lightly floral.
T: Toasted grains, light char, dark roasted caramel malts, dark chocolate, a suggestion of plum, gently floral and bittersweet in the finish.
F: Moderately smooth medium to med-light bodied feel with a very smooth medium length finish that is moderately dry.
O: A lightly sweet tasting Porter with a lightly dry finish. Rings all the style bells, is very tasty with no adjuncts or additions to enhance the flavor, and is easy to drink. It is very good in its style.

 

I attended the Yard's Real Ale Invitational last weekend with some buddies and they had a version of Washington's Porter on cask that also included bourbon-soaked charred wood chips. That beer was excellent. At the end of the event they even had some left so my buddy Phil bought a growler (5 bucks) and got it filled with this beer. He invited me to join him the next day to drink that growler but unfortunately I already had plans that day so I could not join him.

Tiramisu Milk Porter is a 6.3% American Porter by Czig Meister. No carbination makes this one hard to drink. Too bad as the coffee flavor is good. No rating as hopefully it is an issue with the can. Cheers.

 

That is too bad. Love me some Tiramisu.
Currently enjoying a 2022 Fire on the Coals, acquired at the source last May. This is well done. The barrel is still prominent and is nicely integrated.
