Saw no new thread had been created yet for this year. Nice to have a place to put updates on openings or soon to be openings and recent visits.

I'll start with a new brewery in Melrose, Hannahs Brewing. Nice little place on Main St., had about a half dozen offerings. To me, the pale ale stood out the most. Excited to see where they are headed.

Been to a new brewery? Write about it here to give these businesses all the support they deserve (AND NEED)

Will put Hannah’s on our next stop when we are down in Burlington seeing family.

Thanks for posting. Was curious how this brewery is. My brothers noticed it on the way to Idle Hands.

Up until last week I hadn't been to Frost in Hinesburg since pre-Covid.
They've expanded their indoor space, now with more seating as well as a pool table.
Their Puka Dog was drinking really nice. Beertender was super.

A bonus shoutout to Fiddlehead and their Pilsner. I had one after sledding last Sunday and rather than pivoting to Mastermind I did a second Pilsner instead. That's high praise from me!

So, not a brewery, but didn’t know where else to put this.

Brewer’s Fork had Schlenkerla Fastenbier on in February, and now have Eiche on. Haven’t seen that anywhere.

They also have Coniston Old Ale, Black Albert, Schilling Seidla, and Fox Farm Helmhold. They always have something interesting on, probably routinely the best tap list in the city.

Super nice staff and always knowledgeable, plus the food is stellar.

We’ve been twice. Nothing was extraordinary but the golden ale, pale ale, IPA, and Irish stout were all decent/solid. We will def go back to see what other beers they put on draft.

I jumped on the Downeaster out of Boston yesterday morning and took advantage of a day off to enjoy the lovely weather up in Biddeford ME yesterday. Biddeford is an idea spot for a beer-focused day trip on the train because it has six breweries within walking distance of the station. I've been to Biddeford a couple of times before so this trip I focused on hitting the three I'd never been to before. Here's my quick impressions of the whole lot

    • Sacred Profane - Fantastic lager with beautiful side pull pours with proper glassware. Pierogi are excellent. Dog-friendly patio. Would definitely return here.
    • Banded - Beers are good, love their Norweald stout. Cavernous space in a mill building with a fun outdoor deck and good food.
    • Lucky Pigeon - Surprising range of styles offered for a dedicated gluten free brewery. I like their beers more than I expected.
    • Batson River - Upscale restaurant/bar located in a hotel. Didn't love the IPA I tried but might come back to sample the food.
    • Run of the Mill - Funky space and a beautiful deck by the water. Had a great discussion with Steve, the brewer. Super nice guy. He walked me through their historic brewhouse with 30+ year-old British equipment. The bitter on cask was excellent (and they serve cask ale year round!)
    • Blaze - Just stopped in quickly. Wasn't overly impressed with the pilsner but the pizza looks good and the view of the falls from the brewery is breathtaking

I got to visit To Share Brewing Company in Manchester NH. It's been around since 2018 but, despite cruising through Manchester regularly, I've never visited.

First off, it's fantastic to get greeted at the door by Blue, the brewery dog, with a wagging tail and a squeaky binky in her mouth. The muraled taproom is open and comfortable with space for live music. The bartenders spin vinyl from the collection of 1,000 records behind the bar and they have weekly nights when you can bring your own records. They have a big menu of snack-type bar food (pizza rolls, chips and salsa, pretzel, hot dogs, etc). And there is a nice beer garden on the side of the building. Dogs are welcome outside but not inside.

They have a dozen beers on tap with a good variety including four or five lagers. The two standouts for me were their Spring Festbier - biscuit and a light herbal hop note - and the session NEIPA "Social Piranha" - super hazy with a ton of juicy tropical flavor. I grabbed a 4-pack of the amber lager and a crowler of the dopplebock to bring home.

I'll definitely be back again when I'm in Manchester!

Just went to Great Marsh in Essex, MA on Saturday.
Absolutely beautiful space with expansive views.
Beer was good. Bartender was great.
Apparently they're trying to partner up with a new chef to occupy the kitchen space, so no food when we went - but no sweat - just hit up JT Farnham's or Woodman's first for fried clams.

We particularly liked the English Brown and the double Newton IPA.

Did they have their patio open? When we stopped by there last summer they weren’t allowed to have people on the patio, which seems like an absolute killer to their business with how nice their outdoor space is.

They did not. We sat upstairs in a booth by the floor to ceiling windows and watched the paddleboarders float on by. Outside would have been even nicer!

Dude thank you for the excellent run down - I had no clue there were so many spots in Biddeford. Totally motivated for a crawl now - cheers.

Run of the mill is a sneaky don’t miss. Don’t expect hazy ipas, think Portsmouth brewery or Northampton brewpub. We’ve always enjoyed the food and the deck on the river is awesome. I enjoy their Oktoberfest offerings

I loved my recent visit to Run of the Mill. It won't be my last. Great spot! Just watch out when you tour the brewhouse. Those steep stairs are tricky after a couple of beers!

Just wondering if anyone had been to Sena Farm Brewery in Worthington. I'll be visiting family this summer near there and was thinking about a visit there.

I’ve been. Nice little farm brewery with some outdoor tables and cozy bar interior.

Have also been last summer on a whim while driving through. Nice area. Was a little hard to find at opening because the entrance just looks like a driveway to a farm house and there wasn't much signage at the time. Parking was in the lawn/gravel area. Small interior with a patio where a band was setting up.

We got a flight and everything was unfortunately lackluster IMO. I think they had some kind of ginger drink and we enjoyed that more than any of the beers. We didn't get any full pours based on the flight. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back again but also wouldn't turn it down if I was in the area.

Good to know, thanks to you and @grn_mtns. Maybe we'll swing through.

That being said, the last few times I've been back, I've really enjoyed Four Star -- very impressive lagers alongside well-made IPAs and usually something a bit off-kilter too.

I think this is the right place for this, but I went to Silvaticus Brewery in Amesbury late last week. I had the festbier (2nd) and the BA doppelbock (3rd), but Rex was the standout. In fact, it might be the best Pale Lager I've ever had.
