What Beer Are You Drinking Now? #4229

Happy Sunday afternoon! Shoutout to @Ocalafox for kicking it off! After a busy weekend of work and gardening it’s time to sit down and enjoy a Weihenstephaner “Hefe- Weissbier” on the deck!

Drekker Doubly Blessed (8.0% canned 5/6/2024): A NEIPA from North Dakota with Cascade Citra, and El Dorado for flavors of citrus, grapefruit, tangerine, and orange creamsicle.

Coming back to this Drekker IPA after a couple of years. My first review on it a couple of years ago was pretty harsh. I thought it tasted like sweaty orange and glue. Pretty standard Citrus flavors here from the C hops. I do get a lot of orange, tangerine, and orange creamsicle. I don't get the glue flavor that I had previously, but as it warms it does get a bit sweaty. I don't know if that's a beer term but thats the adjective I know how to describe it. It's very orange and I don't know if its the best hops for a NEIPA. It's far better than I remember and growing on me a bit.
Don't know that I'll be able to finish this after the other two today, but Drekker has been killing it lately.

 

Good afternoon BAs! Hot as hell out, so it's time to crack open a witbier. This is a local brew from Railway City, and it's got a nice peppery bite to it - highly thirst-quenching. Cheers!

day again, good for the grass seed I guess.

We drove by the Sandwich Tree House and were going to stop in for a pop and a pizza but the place was totally jammed. Instead we walked along the edge of a tidal marsh and my wife spotted some lilacs up ahead in the wooded area. I grabbed some for her, at least one of us was happy.
