    Good morning to all Advocates,
I open today's thread with a truly special beer (for my tastes):

Alder Beer Co. (Seregno, ITA) - PISMO BEACH - West Coast Double IPA (8%)

44 cl can (they cost around €7, but I willingly spend it because the product is actually "different", it stands out, it is clear that it is made with criteria not to be sold by seeking a compromise between production costs and the minimum standard to be reach).
On the label: "Lot: L299E ; Packaging date: 02/01/2023 ; Best before: 07/01/2024".
It's a West Coast Double India Pale Ale with hops: Citra, Amarillo, Simcoe, Centennial, Cascade, Mosaic. Instead, Pils and Cara were chosen as malts.
Additionally, Brewmaster Marco Valeriani added a small amount of sugar to the recipe to accentuate the dryness of the German malts and allow the aromatic flavor of the hops to stand out.
An American Ale was chosen as the yeast.

As soon as you open it you are surrounded by a citrus scent: orange, grapefruit and even resinous hints.
When poured it's light golden and produces little foam.
Full-bodied beer in the mouth, but the contribution to the taste is truly minimal: the mouth is invaded by an intense citrus flavor with those resinous reflections that stand out even more.
The carbonation is perfect for making the drink leaner, despite the fullness of body and taste.
The finish is dry (resinous, light herbaceous notes) with a clearly perceptible, albeit contained, bitter note, while a delicate taste of orange peel and bergamot remains on the palate.

Splendid Double IPA of what for me is the Italian "Master of Hops"... It's incredibly easy to drink, without giving a sense of heaviness (see the products that invade our fridges with all very similar products with the sole purpose of have more competitiveness on the market by reducing production costs as much as possible to offer the best price to the distributor...obviously at the expense of quality and characterization of the product) and with a fullness of taste that enhances every sip. Few Italian Double IPAs of this level are drunk... In my opinion, it is very close to a quality American West Coast, it would ideally be nice for you to taste it and tell me your opinion too because in my opinion many would like it, especially to those nostalgic for that bitter finish that is increasingly difficult to find in modern products.

Thank you for your open @Jack_14 . Your beer held on very well based on your review from the early 2023 packaging. @tolar111 , cooler weather should follow if consistent with our clear out of a very hot day yesterday.

Crazy wind storms with a lot of large tree limbs going down in my neighborhood late last night. Crazy big Full Moon out there on my walk to from Taco Burrito King, my only 24 hour option these days with everything including grocery stores no longer open all the time (7/11 is the exception, usually try to avoid).

iPhone 7 shot, as always. Looked far cooler with my eyes.

Decided to do laundry before my second shift sleep session yesterday, so missed out on free Cubs tickets in what turned out to be a good game (4-3 Cubs win in extra innings).

Briefly side by siding Matthew Hermes' overnight WDCB jazz program with this selection.

It's atypo on my part, I must have typed hastily...it's early 2024, actually.
    It should be corrected, actually.
    Thanks for the tip.
