Well, that Summerfest was delicious, but this is my last one on hand.

I'm in a palate pickle today folks. A whole variety of beers here, but I'm not keen on any of them.

    Cheers Everyone!

At Half Bushel Brewing in Litchfield, MN now and revisiting their Black IPA. They have dialed it in greatly, and it has a good licorice flavor with a good hop finish. I have revised my review way up.

    1) Toppling Goliath King Sue (7.8% canned 3/1/24): A NEIPA from Iowa since 2014 that is brewed with Citra hops and has flavors of orange citrus, pineapple, and tropical mango.
    versus
    2) Toppling Goliath Haze Cadet (7.8% canned 4/15/24): A NEIPA from Iowa (collab with Boulevard in KC) with Citra and Strata for flavors of orange, blood orange, tropical OJ, papaya, and mango. (Mismatched the two beers blind)

    Winner:
    2) Toppling Goliath King Sue:
Another Toppling Goliath IPA Battle and the third time I've done this one I think. Revisiting it because I just can't seem to tell these two apart.
First is King Sue which is all Citra. Next is Haze Cadet which has the addition of Strata. Identical aromas. Nearly identical flavors. Only as they warm a touch can I really tell them apart. I'm going to have to let these two warm up a bit and go through them again. Could be worse problems. Both are excellent.

Tasman Skies, a NEIPA from American brewery Equilibrium (6.5%).

his one has a slightly odd, but not unpleasant flavor profile to it that feels rather sweet, with the fruity expressions almost taking on a candied note. It also has strong notes of apricot and melon, which I get relatively rarely and suggests El Dorado hops to me.
