Iris DeMent was amazing, might be among my favorite shows I have seen now.

I love The Heights Theater. I have seen Sarah Jarasz many times (she played yesterday), so I opted for DeMent's show this time. Iris DeMent is a national treasure.



I'm not good a juggling a picture of a show with beer in hand, so I have Saint Arnold Ar Car IPA in hand, with DeMent, the amazing bass player Liz Draper, and Ana Egge (she opened and was great as well).

Link to my New Beer Weekend thread post. Bottom line, this is one strong BBA stout, consistent with the 18.7% ABV. The bourbon is very strong but smooth and enjoyable, and I got great milk chocolate and chocolate fudge after the first half hour, but as I look to finish before midnight here, the bourbon feels as though this pour is neat. Still glad I picked up, would return to this on a day or evening I'd like to hit something very strong and enjoyable.
