Depth Perception Imperial IPA



Dark Amber gold color with good white cap and lacing.

Aroma of a dense piney forest early in the day when the ground is still damp.

Taste is a double wide blast of malt and hops and I mean literally a double serving of both. A big whammy of flavors that make no excuses and take no prisoners. Relatively simple but big by any measure.

Full bodied texture with matching carbonation.

This is a true 4B, which is to say big, brawny, bruiser of a brew. Not a food beer and not for the timid.

 

Nøgne Ø American IPA (from Norway).
Think somewhat like Stone.

NBW cross-post. Cocoon Brewing Gilded Birdwing. A triple hazy IPA. Brewed with Riwaka, Citra, and El Dorado hops. The brewery is near my house. I thought about going there, since they have a butterfly habitat where you can drink beer outside, and it is a gorgeous day, but I decided to stay home.
