Well, with Ale Apothecary and Brouwer's both leaving the building, it seemed appropriate to pop this AA/North Fork collab for Brouwer's. The breweries made beer with the same malts, and did their own things, and then blended some, ending with 3 versions. This is the NF version, unblended, with Argentinian Cascade hops from 2006, and bottle fermented with wildflower honey.

 

And just like that it's Summer! I'm tilting a few on the deck as I monitor the progress of the ribs on the grill. First up is an Imperial Stout, Welcome to the Forest, from Esker Hart Artisan Ales in High Bridge, New Jersey. It's conditioned on toasted coconut and Madagascar vanilla beans. But it's a very traditional, and quite bitter, Stout. I just reviewed it on the NBW thread. Cheers, bar mates!

This is hitting the spot on an early afternoon beer.

 

Far From The Tree, an IPA from Phase Three, canned 5/22 and featuring Citra & Simcoe Hops.

 

Wolfed down some hot griddled brats, onion & sauerkraut and a Hofbrau Maibock. Just perfect together. I shall wake the lady countless times this evening with air biscuits. My food pic didn't take so here's my brau anyway. Prosit!!
