Dreary spring continues… happy hump day all!

Drinking Chimay Tripel, maybe it’s an overlooked Belgian tripel. Tasty and great.

Here's a moment's break, before quickly going to lunch and returning to the office.
I'm telling you about another hoppy beer that stands out from the mass of similar products that can generally be found:

Alder Beer Co. (Seregno, ITA) - ELMORE - Double IPA (8%)

44 cl can (€6.50/€7 from the beer shop fridge).
It's an 8% Double India Pale Ale, with Australian and American hops (Galaxy, Simcoe, Citra and Mosaico) and malts of German origin (Pils and Cara). Yeast, on the other hand, is Anglo-Saxon.
Furthermore, a little sugar was used to contribute to the dryness of the beer, helping to bring out the aromatic power of the hops used.
On the label: "Lot: L054F - Packaging date: 02/04/2024 - Best before: 02/09/2024".
On the nose there is an immediate intense aroma of citrus fruits (grapefruit) and more summery and tropical fruit (pineapple, passion fruit, white peach).
When poured, it is light golden, with an almost completely transparent appearance and the tropical aromas are amplified.
Full-bodied beer in the mouth, but as almost always the malate contribution is imperceptible both in terms of taste and drinking impact.
Actually, the palate is enveloped by an explosive fruity taste that ranges from ripe citrus fruits (orange, grapefruit) to more exotic ones (papaya, guava, passion fruit) with nuances that also recall peach and plum.
There is also a light resinous tip, which is what closes the beer by "drying" it on the tongue and leaving ample space for the fruit salad on the palate.
Incredibly fragrant (you can perceive the freshness of the product), tasty and... Light to drink, considering that it is an 8% Double IPA.
In my opinion, yet another example of great hoppy beer from the brewmaster (Marco Valeriani) who, in a static panorama of similar products, always manages to make his products stand out with excellent results (and which are worth every extra penny spent).

Brasserie La Braxeenne (France) ‘La Morterille Biere Rousse.,. Cheeeeers!

Nice fully organic microbrewed beer, enjoying it on a delightfully sunny 75° afternoon here, in the south of France.

Powered by a 4/12/23 IPA which is doing just fine beyond a bit but not overwhelming malty vibes than usual. Pine and bitter held up well,

Expecting temps of 95-100 today, so the dogs had an early walk.

We had one at our grandparents house perhaps a few years later. Loved the game, and later the band. Still hate the North Stars and Twins.
