I always rinse, no matter what. Habit, I guess.

    Iodophor is no-rinse, right?

Rinsing no rinse sanitizer is counterproductive.

The point of no rinse sanitizer is that you don't rinse it. If you have a compulsion to rinse for some reason, just use bleach.

Crap, I misread the question... I rinse with no-rinse sanitizer, but of course I don't rinse it. Like HB42 says, that's undoing your efforts. Sure, maybe there aren't enough microbes in your faucet to make you sick, but give them a few days in not-fully-fermented wort and it's a different question. Besides, it takes extra time and isn't accomplishing anything helpful.

I misread the poll question as well. Accidentally answered yes which of course I do not. Need my coffee still....

Fill a sanitized and rinsed bottle with tap water, cap it and set it on the counter for a week or so. Decant the water off the slime that has formed at the bottom of the bottle. Would you drink that?

Don't know what kind of tap water you have...but I agree you should NOT rinse away a no-rinse sanitizer.

Yeah, this poll feature doesn't seem like a good idea at times.

Unless you're just saying, "Fuck the rules", I don't understand why would someone rinse a no rinse sanitizer.

Do some of you also prepare a no-bake cheesecake then bake it anyway?

Ha. I guess this was a dumb question. The reason I've always given a quick rinse is I worry about any of the sanitizer remaining. Maybe a holdover from the bleach days.

I used to if I thought there was too much foam, but then the first time I brewed with a club I saw that no one cared at all if there was foam so I stopped. Don't fear the foam.

You're not alone. I also answered yes, but I never rinse no-rinse sanitizer.

I am a little anal on rinsing every container that touches my beer. I dump boiling water in after I sanitize my fermenters and kegs.

Rinsing no-rinse sanitizer is essentially dumping potentially contaminated water on what you just sanitized. You might as well not use sanitizer and just rinse with water.

Some people do, although you probably won't hear from them in this thread, given the way it's trending. I used to. When I first started brewing, I sanitized with iodophor, and then rinsed with boiled water. I did this because I could smell iodophor on my carboy and tubing and whatnot even after it dried, and I figured if I could smell it, it could impact the flavor of my beer. Later on, I became aware of all the various taste tests people have done where they intentionally dump some iodophor in beer and people still can't taste it, and it convinced me to stop rinsing.
