We swung by today to restock in cold brew and I did buy Green. Will report back when I open one. Had a pour of Green Pineapple and it was excellent.

Thanks. As you said, it's a non-answer, and doesn't explain why IPAs such as Raven and Sequoia have also been stamped with the season rather than the date.

It doesn't take a degree in pattern recognition to see that the seasonal dates are reserved for ageable beers, and beers that have slow sales. Kind of a crummy move by them, but it's almost unnecessary because you don't know the dates until you purchase

Theoretically they give you the dates as they post all the beers they release. Even re up releases of core beers. Yes, it’s a bitch to go through IG. But they should all be there

Drinking Mom’s Ray of Sunshine on draft right now. Excellent. Their pours are on another level

Extremely intense/ripping Galaxy. Actually reminds me of the Galaxy many ways series. It’s not hitting the sorbet creamy other end I feel it usually does. Interesting, but still good. [IMG]

First time having Super Typhoon since the initial release back in 2018. It poured pretty dark and I was worried it might be oxidized. Luckily the head proved otherwise, as well as the smell. The taste was pretty intensely hoppy, and I wonder if this is one of the rare (to me) offerings that would benefit from a week or two in the can.

Also picked up 'Right Place' and 'Trail - Australian Cascade'. Both excellent crushers. Excited to try 'Drink of the Gods' but wish it was a little more reasonably priced tbh.

Against my better judgment the wife and I ventured to Treehouse, Tewksbury on Saturday afternoon. We circled the parking lot a few times and finally found a spot usually reserved for cans to go customers. This place was absolutely packed. My first thought, as always with Treehouse was ‘they are printing money.’ We entered to the usual circus: kids everywhere, dueling birthday parties, dogs, long pour lines, etc. When I’m in the pour line in Tewksbury is when I usually buy my draft pour tickets. But the line moved so quickly that I didn’t have time. We ordered two beers and found out that we no longer need a draft ticket and we can just swipe a card. Nice! My wife had, Outlier on the side pull and I had, Baby Fern; both beers were stellar. We sat outside and enjoyed the bright sunshine and warm temps. We ordered a pizza and it came out surprisingly quickly considering how almost everyone seemed to have a pizza on their table. Treehouse’s pizza is becoming one of my favorites in the area, it is just really well done. We drank another beer outside and on the way out grabbed some cans to go. Another super easy and quick process. I went in there pessimistic as ever but when I left I really can’t say enough good things about Treehouse and their crew. Great job!

Good to hear it wasn’t a complete shit show and you and the Mrs got to enjoy a couple of beers in relative peace.
Are dogs allowed now? Last time I was there it wasn’t the case.

So this trend has been increasing. Went to both Tree House and Trillium recently where there were multiple birthday parties on a weekend. So, I know you cant really reserve space at these places, at least Trillium you can reserve indoor tables but that wasn’t what was happening. Am I correct in assuming these people just planned a birthday party, invited the 30-40 people, and said just show up here at Tree House/Trillium at 2 pm on a Saturday? When there is the potential for these places to be slammed with people and you are going to just presume you can take up huge spaces? Interesting…

Well, Service Dogs are allowed, I think. But, everyone seems to have a service dog lately. Not judging, just saying.

Service dogs or emotional support dogs/animals? I see a lot of people trying to get away with non-official Service dogs in public establishments. There's a big difference between the two. Service dogs are legal and trained well. The other type is...a pet and mostly illegal in establishments that serve food (depending on local laws).

My child will never have a birthday party at a Brewey. That just reeks of alcoholism.

If my parents had me go to a brewery for my birthday I would’ve punched them both in the face. I’ve tried to understand for a long time how people justify having a kids event at an adult space designed specifically for drinking. You can’t argue it. Too many parents are selfishly putting themselves before their kids in this weird new let’s go slam 8.5% DIPA’s and let our kids helicopter all over. There’s a time and a place where you might end up at one with the kids. Control them, but definitely don’t make it a habit. Or the scarier “we deserve this after a kids thing all day” Imagine telling your child you felt you deserved to drink after doing their thing all day.

Edit: if it’s an adult birthday party. Have fucking at it

Not a complaint. It’s an observation. I piggy backed off the complaint.

A little bit dramatic of a response, but that aside, I largely agree with the sentiment. I think having a kid's bday party at a brewery is bizarre.

Interesting today may be the first non release day in quite some time. Especially on Monday.
